The monitor of my plasma TV shows no sign of receiving power, while the receiver is fully functional. All the cords are attached correctly and I unplugged and replugged all of them. Why doesn't the monitor work?

If you are seeing a strange sign, like a S, crossing the display on your Yamaha RXV475 receiver, it is likely that there is a problem with the receiver or one of its components. Here are a few things you can try to troubleshoot the issue:
Check the connections: Make sure all of the cables and connections to and from the receiver are secure and not damaged.
Check the power supply: Make sure the power supply to the receiver is functioning properly. If the receiver is plugged into a power strip or surge protector, try plugging it directly into the wall outlet to see if that fixes the problem.
Reset the receiver: Try resetting the receiver by unplugging it from the power outlet, waiting a few minutes, and then plugging it back in.
Check for a firmware update: There may be a firmware update available for the receiver that could fix the issue. Check the Yamaha website or contact their customer support for more information.
Check for other issues: There could be other issues with the receiver, such as a malfunctioning display or a problem with the internal components. In this case, it is best to seek the help of a qualified audio technician who can diagnose and fix the problem.
I hope this information is helpful. If you have any further questions or need additional assistance, don't hesitate to ask.
It could be a relay that burnt out, they usually dont show any signs of damage, or the motherboard could be fried too with no signs of damage eather! Hope this helps!
The Media Receiver is the tuner/connector selector box.
If the top is removed the Media Box goes into shut down mode. It requires resetting by a Pioneer Authorised Service tool.
Hi djn Collinswhen your DVR is not allowing you to pause or rewind live TV you will need tounplug the receiver for 10 seconds and allow the receiver to power back up and acquirethe signal. Then you will want to try the functions again and make sure theyare working fully.
I believe that this monitor will not work unless you have the cable from the media center to the monitor hooked up, I have all the parts from one of these due to the screen being defective on one of my customer's TV like yours. I have the connection cable that I could sell for $ 20. + Priority shipping of $5.65
You should return that box to the seller. There are half of dozens senarios which you should not have to go through.
When you are not able to turn of the power of the media box, that is a sure sign of trouble(assuming you have already replace it with the good battery.)
Instead of going into details, you should get your money back, and i DO NOT recommend you to buy a media box from ebay.To me,who would want to sell the media box that works with the plasma TV monitor? That is a video/audio connection board for the tv,without it,the tv is useless.
