I'll turn the timer on and start the dryer but it will run for hours and the timer won't move.
If your timer does not move, more than likely the timer motor is bad. The motor is not serviceable and the entire assembly must be replaced. They cost about $120 or higher depending on model. There is a wiring diagram inside the console to assist you in troubleshooting as well. If you decide the attempt any repairs, or decide to remove the console, unplug the unit first. There is 240VAC at the terminal block near the console and associated wiring. I hope this helps.

Could you please provide feedback as to why you rated this as "Not Helpful"? I work on appliances for a living and the advice I gave you is a "best guess" solution based on the symptoms you gave. It's often hard to determine a cause without being there to see for myself. What have you done to troubleshoot the problem? Have you corrected the problem? Any comments would be helpful in being able to provide you with a better solution.
