I have a Sony DSC-W50 Cybershot camera that won\'t take pictures or videos anymore. It powers up fine and the screen works, but when I hold down the shutter button all the way, it focuses and nothing displayed
Please unprotect the images and try to delete the files. I have attached the Manual of the Camera where you can get the instructions to unprotect the images.
put your camera mode in t "P" setting then go to menu & you should see color or pictue options to switch the color back to color....i have a cybershot dsc-w55 idk what u have but try that .... GOOD LUCK !
Hi, Near LCD screen you will see control Knobs as shown in below picture, find Timer switch on control knobs and press it once, then press shutter button, camera will start beep and take photo after 5 seconds.
YOUR MODE SWITCH IS SET TO VIDEO AND WHAT YOU ARE TAKING ARE ACTUALLY SHORT VIDEO CLIPS, INSTEAD OF PICTURES! IF YOU WANT TO TAKE PHOTOGRAPHS YOU NEED TO RESET THE MODE SWITCH TO A SETTING OTHER THAN VIDEO. SOMETHING LIKE SCENERY, FLOWERS,PEOPLE, ETC. YOU SHOULD SEE THESE ON THE MODE SWITCH, YOU MAY ALSO GO ONLINE TO SONY DSC-W50 AND VIEW THE USER MANUAL AND STUDY THE DIFFERENT MODES OF PHOTOS. I had the same problem with my camera. I found that changing the mode from Multi Burst to Normal allows the camera to take normal pictures. Go to Menu and scroll over to Mode, then select Normal.
thats normal. it just doesn't have enough power to bring the lense back in. once you charge your battery and turn it on the lense will automatically come back in and then out for you to take a picture.
camera ccd is / has failed - also possible , lens
iris is stuck closed ( on monitor , can see very
faint snow noise against black background - check
if iris opens , by shining penlight into lens );
i did not purchase a warranty
