Question about Samsung SyncMaster 245BW Monitor
Hey I just received a new machine (ibuypower w/ geforce 8800GTS) and a new Samsung Syncmaster 245BW monitor. All I'm trying to do is get the machine and monitor running together. I have tried connecting via DVI and the power button is solid on the monitor with a messages that says 'check signal cable.' I have tried connecting via VGA w/ a DVI adapter on the computer end and the power button on the monitor begins to blink. I'm computer literate but this is making me feel like an idiot. I called Dell where I purchased the monitor and they had no clue what they were talking about. They just instructed me to keep switching DVI to VGA or the ends of the DVI. Can anyone help me please ?
Most of the time when this happens it is due to a bad monitor, if you have another pc try to hook this monitor up to that one to see if it actually works, these monitors sometimes get damaged during shipment!
