Reset Duplex Unit Correctly on Ricoh 2232C

We have a Ricoh model 2232C. We are trying to print duplex copies but it is saying "Reset Duplex Unit Correctly" and will not print. How do i reset the Duplex Unit Correctly?

It happened to me on a 3228C and after 2 days diasembling the duplx unit on the left side of the machine, I found out that the problem was on a black tray inside the main unit, under the fusers, it was pulled out just about a quarter inch. All that needed to be done was to push it back in and serure it with screws.

    El problema en mi 3228C era que no imprimia duplex y el problema estaba en una bandeja en el interior de la maquina principal, la bandeja negra debajo de los difusores, es una bandeja que esta en el interior de la maquina, se habia salido medio cm, con lo que lo unico que tuve que hacer fue empujarla ese medio cm y poner unos tornillos para que no se vuelva a salir.

Hi There,

The vertical box on the left side of the machine is not closed all the way. Open it, and close it again. It is directly on the left side of the main machine.

In Windows 7, you can right click on the printer under Devices and Printers, then select "Printer properties" (not "Properties"), then under "Device Settings" you can set the "Duplex Unit" to "Installed". Afterwards, you can go back to "Printing Preferences"->"Finishing"->"Print on Both Sides"->Print on Long/Short Edge.

How to install Duplex mode on PC for Ricoh aficio 2027
If you go into the print driver settings (Control Panel > Printers & Faxes > right click on the Ricoh 2027 and select Properties) there is a list of the available accessories under one of the tabs (I think it's either Accessories, Advanced, or something similar). Depending on the specific driver you have, you can either check the option for the duplex unit and then click Apply, or you can click the Update Now button to have the software itself check to see which options are installed on the copier.

Either way, you should be able to print duplex copies once you've done of those two things (assuming you actually have a duplex unit installed on the copier, of course).

How do we get this machine (ricoh aficio MP 2000) to duplex print?
There are certain models that can duplex and certain models that can't. Generally if a Ricoh copier can duplex it has a D after the name (like 2018D). If there is no option for duplexing on the screen or the ops panel, that model doesn't support duplexing.

Hello sir; There have two way to resolve this problem, 1st, loose the cover hinge push cover all the way to front then tighten it. then go to 2nd step open the top cover, at the left side of the white padding there have to lockes (up & down) open it out look inside there have a reverse roller, clean it with alcohal, hat should take care the problem.

Cant find the setting for double-sided printing on a Ricoh printer
Go to the start menu from the windows desktop then go to printers and faxes then when you will see the driver for the AP 3200 click the right click while the pointer is on the driver and then click properties from the drop menu, then go to accessories and see do the Duplex unit is selected but first see do you have the duplex unit on your printer you will easy notice by the picture when you will select the duplex unit.If you have the duplex unit on the printer then just select the duplex unit then click apply and then ok and now you can close the window. now when you will want to print duplex when you will click the print button from the word or PDF document go to properties and select that you want to print duplex

Ever since we changed our fuser oil on our ricoh 2238c the paper is getting jammed and we have stopped that by rerouting the printer to the external tray but we can no longer print duplex any solutions and...
If it's only happened since you replaced the fuser oil, maybe something isn't sitting in there correctly. Try removing the oil supply unit and fusing unit and then reinstalling them.

Ricoh AP410 Duplex Error
it is possible that the duplex door switch or actuator is bent or out of position and not making good contact the switch on that model is a small plastic switch and it may need to be replaced if that is the case you may need to call a ricoh service tech to replace the switch.
the switch is inexpensive a few dollars but the cost of the csr could be $113.00 per hr or more.

Double sided issues
Duplex means 2 sided copying. If you have an odd number of pages, then it will do this if you are sticking them all together (if I understand what you are saying correctly). Either seperate your jobs or stick a blank piece of paper at the end to correct this. Again, I am not sure if I am understanding your situation correctly, but I think that will correct it if its what I think you are saying? Clear as mud, huh?

Ricoh Aficio 2035G Duplex issue
When you open the whole duplex unit you will see a very small metal tab with a screw, on the top right side on the machine. This activates the switch on the duplex unit.
Or with the duplex unit open you will se a small rectangle hole inside a switch, put a piece of paper or something to activate it, might got stuck.
This problem is very common on this machines.
