Just out of the blue the remote control quit working. The TV light will flash three times when you press the buttons but it won't do anything. I have replaced the batteries, boughten a new remote (SN# EUR7613ZC0)exactly the same as the one that came with the TV, and it does the same thing.
Nothing was wrong with the remote in the first place! The problem is in the TV. Some use a sensor that sees the Infra-Red light from your remote, others use an IR phototransistor. The signal then goes to a controller that performs the required function. Check the IR sensor on the front of your TV first. You can confirm operation of your IR remote by pointing it at a camcorder with night-shot and pressing the button.
