Ibm thinkpad wont connect to LG TV

Lower the screen resolution to 720 dpi.

Another issue is the reference to RGB. Is it the 3 cable (YPBPR) or the standard 15 pin VGA? You may need a converter.

I see a gray screen only when I turn thePC on. I connected my monitor to my acer extensa laptop and still stayed gray.

The CRT monitors use RGB signals for displaying colours, most of the monitors dos'nt have colour setting option, This situation can only arise whenever the RGB signals are equally of the same strength, this is an indication that the chroma section responsible for colour distribution of your monitor is now working properly, you need to examine the RGB circuitry of your monitor, one more possibility is the data cable (VGA) has been tampered internally.

RGB NO INPUT SIGNAL

Hi,

RGB stands for Red Green Blue. Your monitor isn't getting a video signal.

First, look behind your PC.

Pull the video plug and check the pins.

The should be three rows of them. Make sure none of them are bent over.

On the back of the PC, look at the connector socket you just pulled the plug out of. Is there another like it? (15 holes, 3 rows of 5)

If so and the original doesn't work, switch the plug to the other.

Put the plug back in and screw it in tight.

Reboot your PC.

Hope this helps,

Mike

Pc to tv

Try changing the resolution on you computer. That TV may not handle the current resolution setting. You may also have to do something on your computer to turn on the rgb output.
