My ViewConic Monitor has exactly the same problem as this another post? HELP!

Posted by Hokey on May 02, 2007 I have had the ViewSonic VX924 for about 1.5 years. Just this morning when I moved the mouse to wake up the monitor, the screen flashed an image for a split second and then went blank. However, I noticed that the green LED flashes as well. I have plugged in other computers to the monitor and all display the same result. They work fine on a different monitor. My ViewConic Monitor has exactly the same problem as this another post? HELP!

Do you mean to keep my resolution at low level all the time? What's the catch? Why with low resolution it will wake up faster?

Does it come back if you lower the resolution to the lowest and make sure the refresh rate is at 60 Hz?

The idea is to turn it to a lower resolution to see if the monitor comes on and stays on. If the resolution higher than what the monitor will support they monitor will be a blank image.

VX924 (Silver, Black) 19" LCD Monitor: monitor has suddenly gone white...

My VX924 did the same thing but now displays nothing and power switch light just blinks. According to an answer listed on previous page, it may have bad capacitors. I may have to take a look at them. Viewsonic repair facility examination of this monitor runs $70.

ViewSonic Monitor has trouble to wake up after been shut down?

Ok sounds to me like a power supply problem.. this a a fairly common symptom. I suggest that as a temporary fix you set the monitor to NOT turn the power off to the monitor in sleep mode if possible, in your power settings for the monitor.
