Question about Frigidaire GLEB27S7A Electric Single Oven

1 Answer

Frigidaire Electric oven model # GLEB27S7C

My frigidaire electric oven's door will not unlock. We were trying to set the self clean mode, it beeped door and then it was supposed to beep lock but lock never beeped. We cancelled the self clean and the vent was blowing air out, after 3 hours, we dis-abled the power to the oven. We tried turning off the power to try and re-set the oven but that didn't work. We can't set self clean because it keeps beeping door and will not show Lock (even though the door is locked). Please help.

If you unplug the range and remove the lower rear cover on your left side you should see the motor with 2 switch's on it. There are 3 possibilitys with it. One of the switch's on the assembly is not working or the light switch for the door is not good. You also can disconect the lead to the motor and connect a power cord to it and that will unlock the door so you can check the dor switch also. if you do not feel comfortable powering up the lock motor then you should call a repair man. But one of the switches is not letting the computer know the dor is locked.

Frigidaire self clean electric stove 'f9' message comes on when self cleaning

I had the same problem. All I had to do was clean around the door lock. A small bit of burnt food or something had gotten into the hole around the lock and prevented it from moving all the way into position. Took a tooth pick and 30 seconds of probing to clean it out. Works fine now.
