External Speaker Not Working

Hi problem with 2-way wrist watch walkie talkies. Only had them a week and one receives but the external speaker doesn't work. It sends fine and receives with the earbud. You can tell it is receiving as the fx signal blinks when you send to it, you just can't hear anything. Hate to have to keep an earbud in all the time. Thanks for any help.

Thanks, I am trying that route but not easy as it was an E-bay purchase. Thought someone might have had the same problem and knew of an easy fix. If all else fails we will use it with the earbud.

I guess I am not going to have to worry about it the people that sold it on Ebay are standing behind it and sending a new one. Go Postalbay Autions/Ebay! Thanks, for your help!

Why dont you claim warranty I think is a factory fault, the internal speaker is not working.

Do You think that you can dissamble and check the speaker with an Ohm meter?
I think you will need some expertise to do that, but if you have it check the jack where you conect the ear plug because this jack swithces the internal/externa speaker.

I have two identical kids walkie talkies with one speaker that doubles as Mic one works fine but the other one receives only it doesn't send anything I have tested with a third walkie talkie to confirm it...

If your radios have the feature called private line (aka PL, interference code, or code). It is possible the one radio which appears to receive only may have the code set to off (or zero). Check your user guide and see if you have this feature, then check to see both radios are set to the identical number.

If code is not the issue, you might want to try replacing the microphone from your spare unit,

Best regards.

My walkie talkie motorola em1000 have buzzing sound when another walkie is talking. and have buzzing sound when pressing the button.

Just a few thoughts: It is possible you have a bad (blown) speaker on the buzzing radio or the radio has another problem.

A few things you might try include: 1) Cleaning your battery contacts, 2) trade batteries with the known good unit and see if the problem is solved, if so replace the battery, 3) check the mic and speaker holes on both units to be certain they are free of debris and/or stickers covering the holes. 4) if none of these solve the problem, then your radio likely needs retired/replaced.

Best regards.

I have a motorola cp 110 walki talkie .red light comes on but no beep or commuunication

If you have no initialization beep when you turn the radio on, it is likely the radio is in need of repair. Immediate things which come to mind are a sticking PTT button, something stuck in audio accessory jack, or a bad speaker. You might check the radio using a second radio and see if you can transmit.

best regards.

Cannot recieve incoming calls with one radio, but can call out with the same radio, seems to have no sound??

Watch the display while the working radio is transmitting; if the receiver is working, you should get an icon showing an incoming signal. <div>If you see it, it is the audio section that isn't working.</div> <div><br /></div> <div>What you might try, if you have a plug that fits the headphone jack; push the plug in and pull it out several times.</div> <div>Most headphone jacks switch off the internal speaker and this switch, like all of the rest of the radio, is surely Chinese, and if it makes it out of the factory door, they don't give a tinkers dam about the durability. </div>

Nextel i850 can't receive calls

  • may be the walkie talkie can recieve signals only to an certain distance,so it may be due to the signal problem........
  • if the reciever is beyond the permitted distance it loose its frequency...........
  • or else the person who is calling walkie talkie might not hav signal in that area.....
  • and if the walkie talkie does not recieve any signal then the receiver component present inside the walkie talkie might be damaged.........
  • and if it does not reply to an signal transmitter might be damaged..........
  • i hope my answer would be sufficient for u.....thank u......

Motorola T5700 Talkabout Series

It would seem that this is a problem with the contact/switch of your Motorola T5700. When a headset, ear piece or external speaker is plugged in, an internal switch transfers the connection from the speaker to the external. This is better illustrated in the image below.

Initially, you can try an electronic contact cleaner. If that doesn't work, you may have to open the unit and manually scrape off any corrosion from the contacts/terminals or slightly bent it to improve contact.

Hope this be of some help/idea. Pls post back how things turn up or should you need addition al information.

Good luck and kind regards.
