Intercooler is a big waste of money
take it from experience
just elevate your xbox make sure the bottom of the unit can breathe
my intercooler actually rusted in my unit and i had one hell of a time getting that thing out...actually took a few prongs with it...
save your money

Re:
I have 2 360's (1 core and 1 premium) and have the intercooler on the premium....after measuring the heat output it is reduced moderately. I would only recommend getting the intercooler if you are having heat issues with your 360 or it is in a small not well ventilated area.
Hope this helps.

This is easy, Order a new xbox 360 fan off of ebay. Open up your console, and replace the parts. It's very simple, you just plug it into the motherboard.
Also, DON'T use an intercooler. There have been stories that say because it runs off of the Xbox360s power source it can lead to the RROD
Microsoft has two different power connections for the Xbox 360. I do not recommend the use of the Intercooler.
Believe it or not, it actually prevents air from circulating and increases the temperature of the 360!
For cooling I always recommend the fan modification. I have written a free guide showing you how to do this, no soldering skills required!
Here is the guide.
Hope this helps! Let me know if you have any questions.
as soon as your console reaches a certain temp it over heats go pick up a ts intercooler from nyco when your console gets to hot this intercooler has a sensor built into it so it will know when to turn on very economical on power and your wallet 19.99 most game stores
Don't use a intercooler they will bugger your Xbox 360 for sure. From what you said you have your console where it can get plenty of air, this is important as the RROD is caused by overheating.
As for your problem, try unplugging the unit and removing the HDD, put the HDD back on and plug it all back in again.
If this fails, since the unit is only 5 months old call Microsoft, their phone numbers are on the xbox.com web site, they will pay for the product to be returned, and when you get it back it will be as good as new.
2 lights mean that the console is overheating. Intercoolers usually lead to future problems such as hardware failure so I wouldnt reccomend it. I would put the console in an open, well ventilated room such as a living or family room.
