I had this problem; I took the removable unit out, on the left hand side, where the water enters was totally blocked, I poked it out with a skewer (side and top of the little water entry spout), after a couple of days trying to fix it other ways it worked perfectly next try! good luck

The grind may be too fine. The Brew unit is plugged and needs service. The spout joining the boiler to the brew unit is broken. The unit may be plugged with scale.

My Saeco magic grinds the beans, but no coffee comes out. Sometimes it makes one cup, and skips. Other times, I grind the equivalent of 8 cups of coffee without any cups of coffee coming out.

HI
When a machine grinds but doesn't make any coffee there are a couple of things.
If the grounds are wet in the dredge drawer, then you have a plugged brew head and need to clean it.
If the grounds are dumped dry into the dredge drawer, then you have an overcharge and need to adjust the dosing lever back from the full charge. On your machine it is inside the door at the top center. Pull the lever back towards the front 1 click. Then try again.

My saeco machine is not functioning in the right order, it grinds after it makes the pad. So I first hear the clicking sound (meaning it is making the pad first with old grinded coffee) and then it grinds...

HI
Read the first then go to the bold letters.
To program your Magic Dlx: Press and hold the steam and small espresso buttons at the same time, then push the energy saving button (top right). Water Hardness. The large coffee button programs the water hardness. Press the button once and you will have one light in the top row, left side. Press it again and you should have two lights lit. Press it three times and you have three lights lit. Four and you have four lights lit. Press it a fifth time and it goes back to one light. Each light represents your water hardness. So if you have a water hardness of 3, press it until you have three lights lit. Press the energy saver button to exit the program and save your hardness level in the machine’s computer. It will now tell you when you should descale your machine. Pre-infusion. Press the medium coffee button to activate and you should see the light come on. Press the button and turn the light off to deactivate the pre-infusion. Pre-grinding. Pre-grinding is turned on with the cup warming button. When it is lit, the pre-grinding is on. Press the button to turn it off.

Saeco vienna deluxe espresso machine

Clean the ball and valve assembly located in the Brew Group. It ocassionally gets "dirty" and needs cleaning. Be careful you don't lose the glass ball which is very small. Use a q-tip or small wire for cleaning the tubular area.
