When i plug the dictaphone into the computer to download the voice files 95% it doesnt work. It will either slow down and jam up the computer, freeze it, switch off or the wave player will open but the transfering option greyed out and unavailable. I am at a loss of what to do, other people in the office have no problems and i have used the same product before with no issues. Any ideas will be much appreciated.

Hello this is when you used the On/Off button to connect to the PC, normally when your m5210 is on the off position than you plug the unit to the docking station or USB cable, press the ON/OFF button to see on the display PC operation, the unit will be connected to your PC, to download your audio files when you are using walkabout Transfer software program on your PC.
Digital Wave Player (2.0):
After unzipping the file, click on the SETUP.EXE file to begin installation.
Download update: http://olympusamerica.com/files/DWPUP2EN.zip
Download update 2.1.3: http://olympusamerica.com/files/DWPUP4EN.zip
Do not have recorder connected until all software installed and then reboot computer. Once computer rebooted then connect the recorder.
Thanks for the acknowledgement.
Sometimes ( mostly in fact ) there is more than one files ascociated with a voice. One file is for the Icon to show you on the tomtom what voice it is ( its the little picture ) . the other file is the voice data itself. So , in that case you would need to download both files to get the voice. Once you have them on your PC you need to copy both files to the "Voices Folder " on your TomTom SD card or Hard Drive ( some tomtomts have a small hard drive fitted ) .
OK , so once you have the files on your TomTom and in the right folder you would then need to switch on the TomTom and go to preferences , then change voice in order to select that voice on your TomTom.
