Hi, Depends on what OS you are using. For this particular model (Libretto 100CT), it is probably either Win9X or RedHat (or some Linux variation). In Win9X, you might try F8 & run it in DOS and run: Scandisk c: /autofix /surface; Scanreg /fix If it is beyond repair you have to have access to the OS installer CD. Sometimes Win9X installer is also saved in the HD. Try checking if it is inside your HD and run setup. Hope this be of some help. Pls post again how things turn up. kind regards.

Sir i have perchase a lenovo laptop 316 serial no CBQ396181. i have a problem with window every month my windo is curept when we go to the retailer shop he said this is is a system problem please tell me...

Hello,
Lenovo definitely provide a genuine copy of Microsoft Windows OEM operating system upon marketing. If your having troubles with the OS it is a possible corrupted data file and normally performing a recovery to factory default to clear it out and reinstall the OS will fix it.

What are the maximum limit to increase the hd,ram, prossesor in sattelite u100 toshiba notebook 2005

Your model has room for one expansion memory module. Toshiba typically came configured with one static module. The memory specification is very likely DDR PC2700. The maximum size available for one memory module of DDR PC2700 is 1 GB. The HD size is only limited by what you can find with a PATA (IDE) interface, typically 320 GB. Installing a new processor may be prohibitively expensive, and the speed would depend on BIOS support. The BIOS may support the fastest Pentium IV processor, @ 3 GHz.

A link for a 320 GB drive, @ $96.28 (shipped) is here.

How to overcome 8.4gb bios limit on a toshiba libretto 100ct?

Ok get a program called Partition Magic, I have found you a Tutorial here: http://www.le.ac.uk/cc/dsss/docs/pm4-main.shtml Basically, you divide the 8.5GB into smaller sizes, NO MORE than 4GB, so say 2x3GB, & 1x2.5GB, or whatever suits.. then ya Format each Partition, Make ONE an Active Boot Partition, the rest logical ones. Your actual Size of the drives will be less than the Total due to Formatting information etc. Read the tutorial carefully B4 ya do anything. Ya be using the bigger storage in no time...
