A number of times, I had the USB transceiver go defective after a bit more than a year. First make sure the mouse batteries are in good condition. If so, I would try the transceiver. I ordered about six of them from Logitech. I have a number of computers using these. After having two fail I decided to have spares all the time.
Did you install the mouse driver they provided? If so, there should be a SetPoint Settings item in your system tray. Open it and check the Pointer and Scroller Settings and try adjusting the Scrolling Size setting.
For the keyboard, move the cover with a battery sign on the bottom of the keyboard to the side and you will see the battery. For the mouse, press down the rear half of the top cover of the mouse and move it backwards. The steps are on the manual about troubleshooting batteries. http://www.logitech.com/repository/1408/pdf/24495.1.0.pdf
Most Logitech wireless mouse are just Plug-n-Play and it does not require any driver installation. All you have to do is to plug the wireless dongle to the computer and connect the mouse. Here's what you need to do:
1. Make sure that the batteries are fresh or fully charged. 2. Turn ON the mouse using the switch button. 3. Locate the connect button on the dongle (receiver) and then press it once. 4. Hold down the connect button underneath the mouse for 5 secs. and then release it. And the mouse should work.
If the mouse is not responding, then hold down the connect button on the dongle and on the mouse at the same time for 5 secs. and then release them both. Move the mouse around.
the same thing is currently happening too me` but im trying too configur the settings` the problem is inside` clean out the dirt dust but the cord runs around a couple of revs and just push it down a bit and make sure the main rev (white plug) is just pushed a bit down and secure now` putting it back together is harder`
