Why does my dehumidifer not work?

If it is not running because it thinks the bucket is full even when it isn't, the problem is that the float is broken or jammed. A replacement is no longer available, but you can find the small switch and tape it so it always stays on. It won't shut off when the bucket is full, but it will run. This assumes all the other panel lights come on properly - you didn't provide much detail about what works and what doesn't work.

Where do you find replacement parts when they are discontinued? I need a regulator for my dehumidifer a7dh45b2.

Fedders also made identical dehumidifiers for Maytag. Their model numbers are almost identical, and their parts are the same. So, try finding the parts you need thru Maytag.

Hi,

The tank may be full. Your dehumidifier has a safety device that turns off the dehumidifier when the water tank is full. Usually the tank itself either presses against a switch or there's a device connected to the tank that triggers a switch when the tank is in place and full.

If you've emptied the tank and the unit doesn't run, inspect the place where the tank rests to see if there's a switch or mechanism that's not being activated. You may be able to turn it on with a simple flick of your finger.

Good luck.

AD50USR Whirlpool Dehumidifier trips circuit breaker

Not very likely check your paperwork what warranty did you get when you purchased this unit? you might have completed some papers and returned them to an address for the warranty to be accepted. It sounds to me like the unit is going straight to earth when switched on, this looks like a compressor fault, but would have to be checked to be sure.

Circuit breaker

SOUNDS LIKE TO ME THAT YOUR DEHUMIDIFER HAS A SHORT. SOME TIMES ITS THE PLUG OR THE CORD BUT MOST TIMES IT GETS OXIDATION FROM MOISTURE INSIDE.

Ground fault as soon as I plug it in.

You more than likely have a dead short in the compressor
