I think the encoder strip needs to be cleaned with a lint free cloth. If the
encoder strip gets dirty, many different problems can occur.
If the machine still errors, the encoder strip needs to be replaced - Part Number LS4467001
If the machine still errors, replace the carriage PCB assembly - Part Number LS6543001
If the machine still errors, replace the Printhead - Part Number LK3211001
If the machine still errors, replace the Main PCB assembly - Part Number LT0284011
SOURCE: will not print
You have a major error, probally head stuffed error 41, to find out your error press menu starte and up 4 times, this may show error if not then input 82 set, error will display.

press menu then start bk copy then fourtimes arrow-up button (tel.index) quick after another.
machine will be in maintenance mode and lights will flash.
press start bk copy in case machine wont directly display the error code.
Error starting with 4 means defective print head.
Error starting with 5 menas defective purge station or cycle problems.
both error series means: you need a new printer...

you should manually reset your PURGE COUNTER to ZERO so that your printer will work again. Follow these steps:
Unable to Clean error means purge
counter is already full. Please refer below for the instructions on troubleshooting
your machine.
1. To enter MAINTENANCE Mode: Press
MENU, MONO START, 4X on ARROW UP. (within 2 seconds).
2. Using arrow up button look for the
following:
a. 8 then
press SET
b. 0 then
press SET
3. Using MONO START, just press it until
the word "PURGE XXXXX" comes out.
4. Using arrow up button look for the
following:
a. 2 then
press SET
b. 7 then
press SET
a. 8 then
press SET
b. 3 then
press SET
This is to reset the purge
counter. Then press stop/exit
5. Using arrow up button look for the
following:
a. 0 then
press SET
b. 1 then
press SET (To reset unit)
a. 9 then
press SET
b. 9 then
press SET (To exit Maintenance mode)
