Lost remote for sony model KV13M20

It will be best for you to buy its original remote control. Universal remotes may also work with it, but some functions may not work properly. You can buy it from the Authorised Service Center for Toshiba at your town. Just give them the exact model number of you TV set [which can be noted at its back side]. They will give you the exact original one.

RCA RCR 311B model universal remote have setup codes for Toshiba. You may also try this remote. The codes are:
1047, 1071, 1103, 1105, 1108, 1159, 1163, 1178, 1188, 1190, 1191, 1196, 1211
I strongly advice you to buy its original one. OK.

Is this the original remote or a universal remote? Can you change the channel with the buttons on the right side of the TV?

Can you type in a channel number and go to that channel? (this applies if the channel will not change with the buttons on the TV.) Try to rescan the channels (it could be that the TV has the other channels hidden (or lost the list).

If it is a universal remote, you may not have the correct code (just a close one). Try additional codes for Sony TVs. Also when was the remote built? If it was programmed more than 6 months before the TV was released, then it will not have the correct codes. You would need a newer remote. All universal remotes work about the same. Try this.
Here you go. This will work with most all universal remote controls. If you don't have the code do the following:
Automatic Programming
With automatic programming, the remote control tests all the codes available on the Code List and assigns the correct code for the selected device. Although this method can be more time-consuming, it eliminates the need to look up codes and enter them manually.

1. Turn off the device with which you want to use the remote control.

2. Press and hold the corresponding button on the remote control
(TV, VCR, SAT, DVD, CAB or AUD) until POWER INDICATOR illuminates. It should take a couple of seconds for the light to remain solid. The remote control is in programming mode.

3. Press and release power button. The POWER INDICATOR flashes once and stays on indicating the unit is in Power Scan mode.

4. Press CHANNEL up or CHANNEL down repeatedly until the device turns on.

5. When the device turns on, press OK to store the code.

Note:
• To exit without storing the code, press BACK.
• T he unit will search for the next code or the previous code if you press
CHANNEL up or CHANNEL down after the device turns on. (go slow you need to press OK when the TV turns on) if you mess up turn TV off and start over.
6. Press any other button. If the device responds, the remote control has been programmed. If the device does not respond, repeat steps 2-5.

If you haven't had the batteries out of the remote for more than a few moments, maybe the remote still has its code intact. If the TV lost power because of a power dip, maybe the TV is a bit scrambled. Try unplugging the TV for about 15 minutes, then plug back in. It should go through channel search, etc. If you respond again, include the exact model number of your TV please.

Try doing a factory reset on the TV.

Go to menu and select add/delete channels. Then select 02, or 03. Some channels that are selected the numbers will show green, channels not locked in will be red.

Press (on your regular remote for your satellite) the t.v. button, then press info, this worked for me and I tried everything. another viewer posted this solution and it worked great! this is not the original remote, it is the satellite remote.

You must get a proper replacement remote control, once you can access the menu and find you cannot store above 13, place another post and i will help you further.
