Question about SanDisk 2GB Cruzer Micro SDCZ62048A10 Hard Drive
Some times it happens that Windows explore do not recognise the USB flash drives. There may be some causes: 1. Ckheck your flash drive & ensure that it was not burnt or have any physical damage. 2. Start the computer without flash drive and connect the flash drive to it. Noe ensure that your computer is not hanged. If your computer hanged than the flash drive is damaged. 3. if your computer is not hanged and not dectecting the drive,(fore windows) go to My computer, right click, properties, divice manager. In the device list see USB serial bus controllers. click + next to it to see the sub devices. 4. Now see that the computer has a listing for the flash drive. The listing may be as "Usb mass storage device", "Drive company name: etc. 5. If there is listing no listing for flash drive just disconnect it and see the device manager listing. some changes will occur or mouse pointer will show busy. Again reconnect the flash drive the same thing happens. 6. if your flash drive worked as in step 5 that means the the drive is ok and the compueter is ok. There is prblem with driver of flash drive that is currently installed. Please upgrade the driver from your flash drive manufacturer or it is ready to use device just unuinstall it from the device manager listing. Restart the computer. after restart connect the flash drive it will detect the drive. 7. if there is still a problem go to start run & type regedit and press enter to run registry editor. In Hkey_local_machine>software>Cruzer micro and delete it. restart the computer. 8. You wrote that if you connect it to USB port computer does not start. If above step 1 to 7 does not work means there is strong possibality of reading problem means the flash drive has errors on it and file system is damaged. This same thing happens with Cd drive with a cd having corroupt file system. i will prefer to take the flah drive to an local hardware expert or manufacturere.

I followed HITESH solutions steps and was not able to resurect the Cruzer Micro 2.0 GB to recover my saved data. However, based on the solution step 8 I determined that it is damaged. Following HITESH suggestions I will try to get a hardware expert since the manufacturer is not able to recover the data.
Thank you for all the help.

Gateway Model 8510GZ, PA2.
The problem I experience is that when I go in Start > My Computer > Devices with removable Storage. When I click or double click it reacts but does not open the device.
It complicates things when I want to save a file to a SanDisk cruzer micro 2.0GB.
