Bag falls off after a few sessions..

Everytime we put the bag on, it falls off after it has been used a few times. There is nothing to attach the bag to. It just slides on and hangs there by the grace of god while we fill it up with dog and cat hair, then falls off and ruins the machine. I paid $650 for this machine and using it is a nightmare.

I have a Miele White Star. The Turbo Plus attachment has stopped working. Brush will not turn. I've had it all apart and cleaned it. Still a no go. Is there an electrical connection somewhere. Fixable or should I just replace it? Thanks Mary

SOURCE: stopped working - warning light on

There is an electronic circuit board on the motor that may have gone bad and will have to replaced, part # 06836740 and sells for around $75.00, for model S516. But if this a S316, then it could be the speed control mounted on the motor, Part # 04416342 and sells for around $83.00. Both of these models are Cat Naad Dog so you need the model number berfore you order a part.

Will it power up without the hose attached? If it does then you have a clogged hose. If not, there is a circuit board by the motor that may be bad.

SOURCE: Using my miele 4211 without a bag

You did what??? That really is asking for trouble! If it cut out from overheating then yes, it will come back to life when it has cooled. If it doesn't recover, you'll need professional help. I've no idea what country you're in, but in the UK Miele offer a fixed-rate repair service including collection and return delivery and new filters and a bag (!), which will almost certainly be cheaper than getting an independent service centre to do the job.
Good luck!

How to keep my oreck xl bag docking station attached. bought

Put smaller part of bag docking system on first. Seperate it from the other. It has to be pushed on past plastic lip around hole. It should feel very tight. Then attach larger part of bag dock onto the smaller one.

Kirby heritage 2 wont stand upright keeps falling over

Is your bag too full? the added weight will tip over your vacuum, especially if you're using the attachment hose. Check the bag. If it's over the "indicator line", then change it. See if that helps.

Having a terrible time keeping the bag attached during use. I am tired of cleaning the inside of the cloth zippered bag. I am using the correct Oreck vaccum bags, and using the metal clip that holds the...

I would Recommend getting a docking system. its $20 and takes place of the metal clip and ensures that the paper bag and outer bag both stay in place and to ensure no leakage.

I need to remove the outer bag from my Kirby upright. The inner bag was not attached and there is mung everywhere.

In order to remove the outer jacket from your Kirby do the following.
Detach the top bag clip from the handle support. There is a plastic piece, just below the outer jacket, called the mini emptor. Turn it to the right to remove the entire bag assembly. Removing the outer jacket is dificult and even harder to put back on so this is what I would do.
Unzip the outer jacket as you were going to change the bag. Remove the paper bag. You will then see a long black tube, that has a 90 degree elbow at the top. That elbow is attached to the inside of the bag with a snap type strap. Remove the strap, then you will be able to move the tube, while you clean out the inside of the bag. When finished put everything back where it was.

The bags keep falling off

The nozzle pictured upon which the bag holder mechanism broke on my machine. Took it to Oreck dealership twice and he kept replacing the bag holder, but mostly trying to sell me a new vac.

Problem was, the bag holder mechanism itself was no longer attaching to the exhaust port because a major portion of the attachment device simply went missing. Notice that in the pics I post there is obviously something missing. A product failure. We don't abuse our stuff.

Solution? I drilled two small holes on either side of the bag holder mechanism and then fed a very small zip tip around the mechanism and around the plastic cloth bag holder support so it can no longer disconnect. Key to this is to feed the zip tie from behind the plastic cloth bag holder support so that the fat part of the zip tie does not interfere with the connection of the bag support to the bag holder.

Here's a pic of what I did.

Bag not filling-seems all the debris is going into the motor

Maybe your just a really clean person and have little dirt. If its picking up stuff and you dont see it it has to be going in the air or bag though. vacume in a room with sunshine comming in and see if you notice excess dust when you push/pull it. If no excessive (where it come out and you see it fall) it is going in the bag. If you see dirt falling all around these are the bigger particles and arnt going into the bag. Look for a place for the bag to be loose ot yjr plate it mounts to being loose.
let me know what you find. Please rate me as high as you can and thanks for using fix  ya.

Can't get the bag attachment off my Kirby to use the shampooer.

You have to twist the bag attachment counterclockwise to release it. Then put the shampooer on opposite from that. Line up the arrows when putting attachments on.

Vacuum bag busted

Greetings from GoVacuum.com,

Yes, you certainly can take off the outer bag of your Oreck and wash it in the washing machine. You DO NOT however want to put the bag through the dryer!!!!! Just hang the bag outside, and let it air dry. It is important to make sure that the bag is 100% completely dry before you use the machine again. If the bag is wet, it will cause dirt to turn to mud in the bag, and probably cause a foul odor when you use the bag.

There are 2 different types of bag systems with Oreck vacuums. The one pictured below is the older style that uses a metal clamp to hold the bag in place. The newer docking system, will be a white plastic clamp that holds the outer bag in place. They both will be removed the same way however. Simply take a screwdriver and pry off the clamp;

Once you have removed this clamp, simply pull the outer bag off. Once it has been washed, and the bag is 100% completely dry, put the outer bag back over the bag housing as far as it will go. When you put the clamp back on, it is imperative that the clamp go behind the plastic ridges, to ensure that it is tightly fastened. If the clamp is not put on correctly, this will cause the inner paper bag to fall off during vacuuming. Make sure that the clamp is in the right position when putting the bag back;
