Can only load a TMobile initial screen showing IPL 1.06, SPL1.06 GSM 01.12.10 and OS ver 1.6.2.4 it can't go beyond this point to load the Windows OS. I have tried Reseting using Reset Button on the side. This problem started after it fell on the floor in the car not against very hard surface.

do a sw reset....its possible it was damaged when it was dropped in the water, but not likey....
turn the phone off, press and hold the soft keys (buttons with the lines on them above the home key and back arrow key) and hold it down.....press the power button while you are doing that until the white t-mobile screen will come on, then instead of going to the green windows mobile screen, a black screen with white writing......press the green button....it will get you in your phone but it will erase your info as a result....
SOURCE: MDA Vario died - HELP
hi. i have had the same problem and have had to change the battery twice in the three years i have had it. sometimes the batteries that you can buy off ebay are quite cheap but go off without any warning fairly quickly.last one i have bougt has lasted me 1.5 years without any probs.
my other advice would be to back up your contacts/other sensitive information somewhere safe( your phone SIM for example- which has to be done one at a time for the mda vario)as well just in case.
hope it helps

The Windows Mobile installation may be corrupted.
The only way to fix that problem is by re-installing the windows software on the phone.
You can get the software for the T-mobile dash at the following link: http://www.t-mobile.com/wmupgrade/
Be warned that if you use this method most of the data on the phone will be lost, like text messages and etc. Your contacts should be fine as the are stored on the SIM Card and if you have been syncing your contacts with your PC then they should get loaded when you do the up

in windows, right click on the CD player with you cd in it.
click explore and look for USB Drivers.
Install the drivers and try hooking your phone up again.
Try using a fast USB 2.0 port on the computer.

If hard resetting and restoring it doesn't work you have a broken LCD screen. There is an phone repair website that shows you how to replace the screen yourself.
