Get a compressed air can and blow out the back of the tv. Should fix problem. If it still does it the you should make sure it does it on all tv ports making sure it does it on other hdmi, rca, ect.. If problem is still ther after checking that you need a new sound board.

Tried that, but no cigar on stopping the problem. How do I replace the sound board?

Why ami experiencing a distortion noise while using av sony 21 inch ctv ha21m80

If there is distortion and noise, while using the TV, for on-air transmission, and there is no distortion or noise while using it AV, be sure that it tuner is faulty. Check the Ariel connection first, for discontinuity or loose contacts. If it found OK, replace the tuner. If you wish to get some details; check the site linked here. Viewing it in "Mosaic" or "Magazine" will make surf easy. Pull up older posts. Surf the site with patience. Do a search by type in the brand name of your device at its search box and press "Enter".

The tv i own: Panasonic TX-32LX77 LCD Monitor (TX32LX77) . i want to know if this is HD. if i hook up the tatasky HD box, will i get a full HD output? thnx

The TX-32LX77 is an HD TV but only has 720p (1366 x 768) resolution. Full HD is 1080p. (SD is 480i.)

I wish that I had better news.

(It's possible that you won't notice the resolution difference; small screens don't always need the full 1080 lines of pixels from top to bottom of the screen to give a crisp picture.)

When i plug in hd cable screen is distorted

Projection TV sets need to have all three colors - RED - BLUE - GREEN - lined up correctly on the screen in order for the video to look normal. When its out of alignment the video will look 3D, wavy, distorted, etc. Most of the time you just need to adjust your convergence in the TV menu. If you cannot adjust it in the menu - then your convergence is broken and needs to be repaired.

Convergence problems are very common on all Projection TV sets including Sony, Samsung, JVC, Philip Magnavox, Panasonic, Akai, Pioneer, Hitachi, Zenith, and others. You can get a convergenece repair kit from the link below.

Common Symptoms include....
  • Screen looks 3D
  • Colors don't line up
  • One or more colors can't be adjusted when using the convergence menu.
  • Screen is bowed or warped.
  • TV shuts off after powering on - TV may also make a chirping noise.
Here are some photos of convergence problems.

Here is a quick test....

Using your original remote go-to the settings menu then goto the convergence section.

Try to adjust the red and then the blue convergence.

You should be able to move RED and BLUE in all directions - up, down, left, and right.

If you can't move them in all directions or cant move them far enough your convergence chips are bad and should be replaced. This is a common problem.

Note: If you TV has as flash focus or magic focus button only try pressing the button. If it fails to fix the convergence your need to fix it. See below for a solution

You will need to replace the convergence chips and possibly some convergence resistors and pico fuses.
This is a a fairly easy DIY job if you know what you are doing. If you have never done this before we would advise calling a shop or if you want to do it yourself get a complete kit with instructions and support from www.TvRepairKits.com

Echo suppression

I don't know how to remove the echos from you video but think I know what is causing them.
Normal 0 Two things can cause static.
First, If you have your speakers turned up to high it will give you feedback causing distortion and static. I'd use headphones during videoing.
Second reason is, if you are using a laptop and have added an external microphone between the two it will cause distortion and static.
Not knowing the configuration of your computer makes it harder to analyze the problem.
So hope this is of some help. Bud

Color wheel bearing can make the noise you describe, and that will also cause color distortions.
