Won't power off when pressing power button, just goes to standby mode
Anyone have any problems with this. When I press the power button on either the projector of the remote it goes into standby mode. But this will automatically come back on after approx. 45 seconds. I cannot get it to power off completely so only way is to unplug from the mains which isn't a great solution at present.
Can anyone help???
Thanks.
I have this samne problem. Pressing standby shuts off the lamp for a minute or so then it starts up again. Pressing standby more than once doesnt seem to have any effect on this. According to the manual, you press standby, leave it to cool for 10 minutes tyhen unpluf it from the main power which would be fine if I could actually leave it to cool for 10 minutes without it switching itself back on again.I have this samne problem. Re:
With most projectors you have to press the power button twice to confirm that you want to turn it off. When you press it the first time it waits for a bit and then turns itself back on assuming you hit the power button on accident.
Also, note that you need to wait a short time before pressing the power button the second time. When you press the button the first time, the projector wil display a screen saying it is going into standby. In about 5 seconds, the screen will go blank. Pres the power button the second time right after the screen goes blank.

There are three modes — standby mode, radio mode or CD mode. To enter CD mode, press the power button and then the CD button. To enter radio mode, press the power button and then the radio button. To enter standby mode, press the power button.
If you're in standby mode and press the time set button, the clock digits will blink. If they don't blink, you aren't in standby mode.

Do a hard reset. Unplug it from the socket, the DVD and leave disconnected for 4 hours. This may or may not help, but it is a necessary step to restore all internal software codes to their factory settings.
