Hi Democritus, I uninstalled netgear, down loaded the driver above, unzipped etc. then was asked to install the netgear cd, ( which i still had but is years old and probably out dated )

Then used the internet option to update rather than use the files on the cd. ( Here I used an ethernet cable for my internet connection )

Installation was successful and I got immediate wireless connection once ethernet cable removed and the netgear usb was inserted. Thank you for steering me in the right direction and getting me wireless again.

Initially I have contacted Negear Support, exactly followed the steps they suggested but no solution. Then I tried to install the drivers as mentioned here, but still no connection.

Now I also get the following error message: exception processing message c0000012 Parameters 75b0bf7c 4 75b0bf7c 75b0bf7c

    Can anyone help me?

NetGear Wireless Router and NewGear WG111 Adapter

I imagine you bought the WG111 Kit. It could but throught the Router and/or the adapter. Uninstall all netgear software and drivers. Unplug the adapter. Reboot machine. Plug the adapter in and install the software drives. Basically your starting over. This will take the quess work out of trying to repair what was lost. After reinstalling go to this web page to configure the SSID,IP and adapter. http://kbserver.netgear.com/kb_web_files/N101179.asp

Netgear WG111 issue

The error you get from Windows about the digital signature is normal. This only means that windows hasn't tested and approved it. just as the Netgear guys will tell you, the wireless adapter is compatible and will work fine. When you get that message, you'll usually allow it or continue with the installation.

you can refer to this link for the system requirements of your Wireless adapter:

Netgear WG111v3 blocks access to epson RX500 USB printer

First uninstall the netgear adapter from the memory of the computer completely...
Because in case of this netgear adapter WG111 ... when u install it , it makes changes in the system files ...
That;s why when u connect the printer it doesnot recognise that ...
that's why uninstall the netgear adapter software in the Add remove programs and then restart your computer..

Try this and then revert back to me...
