The cheapest way to replace the lost face plate is to buy one used or new from ebay or the other solution is to try and pick one up from www.pioneerelectronics.com

SOURCE: if i barely touch the faceplate to change a

Pull the face off, and examine the small gold pins between the face and the chassis of the unit. lightly scrape them with a fingernail then re-attatch, could just be dust buildup, liquid, you name it... If it still has problems, you may need to get it serviced. Hope this helps

There is no display on the faceplate. The faceplate is stuck in the CD eject position. If I remove the faceplate the mechanism rotates to the position where the controls would be visible but when I attach...

I would try cleaning the connectors on the face plate with an pencil eraser and on the unit itself with a very fine sand paper. And make sure you get rid of any dust after cleaning before putting the face plate back on.
Please leave me a good feedback.
Thanks

How to change from latch with face plate to drive in latch

How do I mount the Face Plate on the Latch?

Insert the latch into the faceplate opening, ensuring that the sides of the faceplate line up with the flat surface on the latch collar. Push flush with the drive-in collar. Then grasp the faceplate in one hand and the latch in the other hand and rotate the faceplate clockwise to snap in to the collar.

Tighten the outside faceplate of a qwikset dead bolt.

The inside face plate snaps on. To remove it remove the T handle and use a small flat head screwdriver to genty pry it off. Behind the cover you will find 2 screws to remove the lock halves.

Daewoo Cd player

The car security is not connected to a head unit. It probably has a small blinking red light on it which blinks when you remove the faceplate and switch the ignition off. This is just an indicator which lets people see that the face plate is removed.

You can replace the headunit with any brand/model you want. It would be cheaper than buying a replacement faceplate.

Keeps losing power

The faceplate may have a bent pin, or is not fully clicking into place.

Before getting all worked up, try pressing the release button to remove the face plate and carefully inspecting the areas where they click into the main unit, small pieces of debris may be stuck in the clips, if this is not the case, carefully re-insert the face plate, making sure to have aligned the guides before pressing the face plate back into place. You should hear a nice confirming click when the face plate is in place.

Bent pin or contact, can easily be spotted by grabbing a magnifying glass and looking at the allignment of each pin, take extra care when straightening the pin if this is the case.

**Tip**
Most solutions can come from closer inspection ...
ie: with a magnifying glass.
