Q: After pairing my mouse, the button click works but cursor tracking does not move. What can I do?A: The cursor tracking problem is because red sensor LED is not on. Please try another set of battery or fully charge battery again, and verify if bottom red LED turns on. If red LED still does not turn on, please remove batteries from mouse, press and hold the pairing button for 5 seconds, next press and hold the left and right buttons simultaneously for 10 seconds, followed by several clicks. Install the battery into mouse, you should see red LED turns on, mouse cursor will move.

Sounds like you are missing a driver. Google the exact name of the mouse along with "Mac," and "Driver." Should be able to find what is needed that way. Be sure to check on the packaging that it isn't bizarrely incompatible with Macs, they can be difficult that way.

in the dock click on system prefs and go to the keyboard and mouse bit and see if you can select it. with it plugged in click the apple menu, click about this mac and a window will appear, click the more info button and in the window that appears click usb and see if it is listed, if not the mouse is iffy

I just bought an internal SATA 3.5" 3Gb HD and want to use it externally over Firewire using the Macally G-S350SUA enclosure I have sitting around. Problem is, it requires a firmware upgrade in order to recognize my new HD. That's not all, there is only a single version of the firmware available from www.macally.com, which runs only on a Windows machine (no Mac version, even though the company name is "Mac"ally, and no UNIX version). Just incase that's not annoying enough, this firmware upgrade process they expect you to jump through hoops to run can ONLY be run on a 32-bit installation of Windows. I have many computers kicking around, but all with 64-bit OSs installed. Not backwards compatible in this case it seems. Furthermore, since this is a firmware update, I hardly want to test it on a virtual machine. It says right in the instructions to not bother. My question is: is there another version of this firmware upgrade somewhere else on the web? (seems Macally is unwilling to supply one for their own product) and failing that, what kind of work-around can be done to get this to work? I'm quite proficient with a terminal (Mac Terminal.app and a few UNIX OSs) if there's some programming that needs to be done. Since I don't use Windows for anything other that running bad software like this, I'm useless on Windows.
