661gx m7 motherboard beeps on start up

If your getting no beeps, its usually a video card issue. G31T-M7 has an onboard video card. Can you try plugging you montor to the VGA port and see if anything comes up. If still no picture, are fans turning? Might be a power supply failure.

Go to your motherboard website and check it's CPU specificaions

No. Just make sure that you two RAM modules have the same specifications (speed, clock).
If you don't know about that, then simply insert both RAM modules and start your computer. If Windows loads, then right click on MyComputer and go to properties. If it shows 1.5GB then you are OK.
If the computer fails to start or you hear multiple beeps it means that they are incompatible.
Replace the 512 module and insert the new one and try again.
Always remember to turn off the power and unplug the cable from the power supply before replacing RAM modules.

You have to press and hold the power switch for 6 - 10 seconds to turn it off

the blue screen means theres a hardware of software failure, try to solve this by checking the ram, take just 1 out and reboot, if it does the same thing take the other out and put the 1 back you took out first, reboot to see what happends

Are you hearing any beeping sounds and also please check your power supply by removing the supply 20-24 pin cable and refresh the bios - see the bios jumper is inserted in normal position

661GX-M7(V3.0) Mb. It's suggested not to flash your BIOS unless it fixes a problem that your having. Ain't brok don't fix it!
