When i go to my control panel there is no sounds and audio devices, only hardware and sound which could be the only "SOUND" one. When i am in there, nothing helps me with the microphone except where it said manage audio devices, and all it has there is properties and configure and a little volume thing. When i put it up high, and i put my speakers up high, i still can't get a sound out of it!!! HELP ME URGENTLY AT [email protected]

1. go to control panel
2. choose "sounds and audio devices"
3. choose the "audio" tab
4. there are "default device" for "sound playback" and "sound recording", change both to logitech usb headset"
you then effectively enable the headset and disable the speakers. and the sound will remain on the headset after unplug and replug.
Take the device manager and check wether the device is enabled and is working properly
if yes then
bringout your sound settings option from your taskbar and check wether the microphone option is in mute or turned on
if mute turn it on then it wil work

Plug the USB connector into an available USB port. • Check your computer's volume level. • Check if your computer's volume is muted. • Check your operating system's audio input and output settings. • Check the headset's volume and mute settings. • Restart computer.
Otherwise, I would recommend pursuing replacement options
On the MacBook there is no microphone port, if you look closely, it is not a microphone plug, it is a line in plug. Line in cannot record sounds from a microphone without amplification. What I would recommend doing is purchasing this adapter: http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16812186035&cm_re=usb_audio-_-12-186-035-_-Product- With this adapter, you plug your headset and mic into it and then it plugs into the USB port on your MacBook. Then you can just unplug it from the USB port when you are done.
Can you try using the X1 mic on your PC? Green plug to green jack, pink plug to pink jack, USB plug to USB port. Talk into the X1 mic. Can you hear your voice? If yes, then you probably have a bad chat-controller cable. If no, then your X1 mic may not be working. If that's the problem, you should contact Turtle Beach tech support for help. I have the same problem. I suspect that this headset is not USB compatible at all. It possibly only uses the USB connection as a source of power (for the vibration effect). This is a problem for me because I wanted to use the headset on a PS3. Saitek don't claim that it works with the PS3, but the claim of USB compatibility is ambiguous and misleading in my opinion.
The headsets usually have two connectors or a single usb connector please ensure that bothe the jacks are connected to the correct ports for details on the port connection pl visit: http://www.mediatech.com.tw/faq.htm
I had the same problem, but fixed it. All you have to do is: (I have a Dell Laptop) 1. Go to the control panel 2. Go to the sounds, speech and audio devices 3. You are supposed to see the icon that belongs to your sound card (Mine is SigmaTel Audio), click on it 4. Activate the port where the microphone is connected, close 5. Configure your microphone as you normally would 6. It should work
My microphone has always worked on vista for, I use it everyday on skype, but today it will not work, I can hear the caller but they cannot hear me. I thought my headset was broken and i bought a new one. but its still doing the same thing with the new headset. It says the microphone settings are enabled and working, but when i do the mic test, it says that it cannot hear me. what can i do?? help!
Go to start then control pannel then sounds and audio devices. Then in in the volume tab select advanced in the device volume section. When the mixer comes up go to options then properties select the recording option a recording mixer will come up make sure to check the microphone box. Raise the level in the ixer and you should be golden. If you want to hear the mic select playback mixer and raise the mic level. Hope this helps. : ]
