Lexmark X5150 The unit has no installation disc......I downloaded the drivers and was able to get the printer to work but something seems to be missing as the scanner doesn't function. The download didn't start automatically and I had to go into the file on the c drive and click on the set-up file. I've looked in all the files and don't see any other exe files. ???????? Can you help? thanks in advance for your time......JT

Thanks easyq........Everything went well except it seems I'm missing a file. The missing file is wiafbdrv.dll Apparently it's on my windows cd but I don't know how to access it.Can you advise? Thanks in advance for your time......much appreciated. JT

Thanks......I realized that I had a number of issues. The software at driverguide was more complete than the first download I tried. I was able to find the missing Dll. file at DllDump.com. Great site! Scanner works great. Everything just needed to be done in the proper sequence. Thanks for your advice!.............JT

JT, install the scanner unit via windows as a new scanner (start, printers and scanners, new device) and browse to the unzipped files when windows asks for installation files, this should make the scanner part work.

Just redo the same installation and insert your windows CD in the drive when it asks you for this file.
If not working, you might visit www.driverguide.com (free registration) they have almost every driver available to download.

Please visit the Lexmark website to download and install the Lexmark X5150 Printer Driver on each of your computer. Select your operating system > click on "FILTER" > click on the driver under Recommended Downloads > download and execute the file. Simply follow the instructions on your computer screen to complete the installation.

and enter 'X5150' and click "search".

Select the device-driver for your printer and your Operating System. Download it. Install it.
