Incorrect, you only need the special cable to be able to play video. The default AV In setting is set to require the special cable for sound, but it is not required. All you need to do is rest the deck (press the little red triangle on the face) and then in the setup change the AV setting from ipod to AV IN and it will work
You can buy a thing(not sure of exactly what its called) that you plug into your iphone and you pick a radio station on it and turn your stereo to that same station and listen to your itunes
You can try it, but I think you might need a media expander/controller. I see some going for around $100 on Ebay. It allows you to add and interface many component to your deck. But make sure the deck ready to control it. You can tell by the label on the deck(Ipod ready, XM ready, Sirius ready, Changer ready....ect). Goodluck.
Call these guys at hifiaudio.com and purchase the SWC module that matches your vehicle (ask for Scroche brand). Once you purchase the SWC module, make sure you read the installation instructions two or three times before you install it. Once installed, these SWC units work great. I just completed the installation on my 2008 F150 with the Kenwood DNX-7100 and my steering wheel interface works perfectly.
That happened to me and the PFD Manual online said it means it's a communication error between the ipod adapter and the ipod. The ipod in my case was totally froze and I had to reset it using the hold on off then holding in menu and select for 10 seconds and it rebooted.
Currently you have the blue wire from your Kenwood head unit connected to the blue wire in the Chrysler wire harness adapter. You need to disconnect this wire, and reconnect it to the blue/white wire coming from your Kenwood head unit instead. You probably already have the remote wire from your subwoofer amp connected there; both wires need to be attached to the blue/white Kenwood remote output.
Your LHS is equipped with a factory amp. The blue wire in the Chrysler harness activates the amplifier, but it's connected to your Kenwood's power antenna activation output; therefore it's only being turned on when the tuner is selected.
