Question about Whirlpool Ultimate Care II LSQ9564J Top Load Washer
Hi, My washer is an older model whirlpool. Model # LA9100XTN1. I washed some bathroom rugs that were brand new. The rugs seemed to shed alot of long fibers. I was able to gather 3 full handfulls of cotton fibers out of the washer. The rugs were still completely soaked. Since then I have tried to do wash and noticed that the machine is not agitating or spinning. I can only hear humming of the motor, although it does fill just fine. I have taken off the pump and the coupling looks to be fine???? PLEASE HELP!!
You need to remove the cabinet to expose the washer. once you do that you need to remove the 2 clips that hold the pump to the motor. then remove the 2 1/4 inch screws that hold the 2 clips onto the motor. ( remove the wireing connector first) remove the motor and Im sure you will find that the coupling need to be replaced. There are 3 parts to the coupling. 1 rubber and 2 white plastic parts. replace the coupling and install everything in reverst. your washer should work fine after this.
