Every time I put a movie in my dvd player, my Sanyo "Vizon" HDTV, keeps preventing the movie from showing, it then asks me if I want to change the level of the parental control, and then I have to put in my registered password to authorize it. When I go into the menu settings and turn off the parental control feature it keeps on controlling each movie I put in my dvd-player even though I have shut off parental controls!
How can I make it stop doing that? It's getting annoying to have to put in the password Every time I want to watch a movie! And I watch movies a lot! Please Help!

Re: Parental Controls feature
After you put your password in, go back and change the password using blanks spaces. Then it should reset to 'parental control off'. Let me know if this works. Some Sanyo models are different to reset.

Parental control is one of the features available on roku. This feature restricts the children to access the movies and TV shows based on the rating of the movies and TV shows.
Roku doesn't provide any true parent controls. But the parental control workaround is simpler one. Only a few channels on roku have the parent control. Such channels are Amazon Instant Video, Netflix, and Redbox.
Initially, you have setup your roku account and add the channels from the channel store by using the PIN.
1.Sign in to your roku.com/link account.
2.Click the update button which is next to the PIN reference.
3.Then choose the choice "A PIN is required when using your Roku account to make the purchase or add any item from the Channel Store."
4.Put the 4-digit PIN and save the changes. After that, you can watch the channel by installing them from the roku channel store.
After finishing the watching the channels delete it.
If you deleting the paid channels means there are no issues because you need not pay again for reinstall. For re-install it you have to sign in again.
For some channels which have parental control, that doesn't require to delete the channel after watching.

Unfortunately there are no known ways to change the user code. The parental controls are set because it's a DVD player for kids - and you must input the password every time you want to play a DVD.
1369 is the code to allow you to play blocked movies. I still
haven't found a way to change the level. Again, you have to input the code each
time. I know it stinks, but I guess they didn't think of the parental feature in its entirety.

Start a DVD, bring up the menu with select, and then go to Setup. It's in there. To get it to actually save, eject and take out the DVD (kicking it back to the setup screen) before you turn the power off
when you are watching any dvd, hit select on the controller to bring up the onscreen menu. on the menu, under the number 7, there is a icon called setup. click it. hit right on the digital pad (on the controller) two times and you will be at custom setup. now, go down to the parental controll part and set it up to your liking.
While in the "custom settings/parental control" options press SELECT and enter the 4-digit number "7444" whenever the parental control display asks you for your password. the old password will then be deleted.
