It should be orange if it Dexcool. Which all aluminum head GM engines switched too. If typical (green) antifreeze is added to dexcool, it goes thru a reaction that will not let it flow thru the cooling system fast enough or properly which causes hot spots in the block and burns (cooks) the antifreeze. have the system flushed and refilled with the correct coolant and you engine will love ya for it
The oil light is either a bad sensor or it's telling the truth that oil pressure is low. You can install a new sensor or hook up a mechanical gauge to find actual pressure. Cutting off can be caused by way too many things to list
How's your engine coolant level? If you've got a water pump leaking coolant, your belt will squeak, as the pump will leak the coolant directly onto the belt. You'll see the spray pattern under the hood if it's been going on for a while.
The Gen II 3800 Engines have a HORRIBLE ISSUE with the INTAKE. They are made from Plastic and Warp. Waiting for the Engine to Get Hydro Locked (Coolant in the Cylinders)
I can help, a belt diagram for a 1997 park ave, some of these cars come with a super charger, heres a diagram that list both the regular belt and then the charger belt, use what is needed, hope this helps.
If this is a 3800, Upper Intake Plenum or Lower intake gaskets are an inevitability. Head gaskets on these engines rarely go out! Seriously, don't get duped. I am doing the job on my grand prix right now. Google it for further explanation.
sounds like water damage to the control panel. also the things u listed are together on the same fuses check the fuse also.. if one goes out it can mess up more
