The folks at Sears said they did not know what the error message was according to a friend I was speaking with last night who has the same problem with her dryer. We were disscussing how both of us have products that Sears have been to repair several times but has not done yet? Mine is a Neptune stack washer dryer down since June, they have been to the house 3 times and never have the right parts? What does the F44 error mean, if not listed in the manual and the tech does not know? Thanks,

The F44 error code on this type of dryer indicates a blower motor control board failure. Since it happens only occasionally, then you could have a loose wiring connection or a partial obstruction in the blower housing. Complete details of the troubleshooting for this error code are included in this link of a previous answer: What does the fault code F44 indicate on my Kenmore Elite Oasis dryer?
I recommend that you unplug the dryer and check the wire harness connections if you are confident that you can safely access the internal dryer components. If you find a loose connection, then tightening it or plugging the harness securely into the connection will likely correct this problem.
The F44 fault code indicates a blower motor control electronics failure. This can be caused by a wire harness connection problem between the machine electronic control board and the blower motor electronic control board. You will normally need a technician to diagnose and repair this type of failure.
If you have the technical ability to safely access and check internal components in your dryer I can include the diagnostic portion of the manual.
Let me know.
Check the high limit thermostat. if its damaged, it will allow the dryer to become way to hot, tripping the shut off. check the door switch as well. if its faulty, it will shut off the dryer periodically.
F-44 indicates a faulty blower motor controller. $169.00 from sears
or about $115.00 from an appliance parts store. Also note: the
service technicians repair guide is usually folded and tucked inside the top of the dryer console. It contains all the F codes and disassemble and reassemble and testing instructions. Part # for the service guide is (W10035270).

007, F44 is a motor control electronic failure. Couple of things you can try. 1. Unplug the dryer for 1 minute. Plug it back in and see if the error stops. 2. Under the consol there is a 3 wire harness that runs between the two control boards. Try reseating this harness. If that doesn't work, you will either have to call for service or do some detailed trouble shooting. Catriver, post back.
