Question about Whirlpool GR465LXLS Electric Kitchen Range
Setting the dial has no effect on the dual element shtting off. Even at Low the element stays on. This seems very dangerous and I am suprised there has not been a recall or notification on this.
If your talking about the element on the surface, I will say you have a bad switch. Its the only thing that controls the element. You can unplug the range and remove the rear cover and check the switch with a ohm meter. But like I say its the only cotrol of the element so you will want to replace it. Good luck

Our stove had the outer ring fail on the dual burner, I ordered and replaced the entire burner from AppliancePartsPro on the internet. Strangely now the new burner (Both inner and outer) RINGS do not regulate, Full on or Off only.
1.) When you mention "switch," I assume you are referring to the Users Burner Control Dial?
2.) If the Switch (Dial) is bad, could the switch have forced the outer ring to go bad?
Thanks.
