Question about Toshiba 36A40 36" TV

Screen shrinking My problem is the same as Julsf8's, who posted earlier in here. My screen first started shrinking from the bottom, then it started from the top. It will sometimes shrink down to just a bright white line in middle of screen. If you tap on the bottom of set, it will come back to full screen. Sometimes it stays right for days, other times as little as a few seconds. I absolutely love the television and would like to fix it if possible. Thanks for any information or help.

I have a euro model s3325 and when i turn on the power switch it says its steam ready but will not heat up

I think it may be from the same issue stated above--the thermal fuse blew. I have the exact same problem. This is what someone posted earlier:

There's a thermal fuse inside. If it gets too hot, the fuse will blow and the thing won't turn on.
It has a 216 C temp limit. You can find thermal fuses at radio shack for less than 5$. If you're adventurous enough, you can find the fuse in line of a white wire under a fiberglass outer and heat shrink inner shielding screwed against the bottom of the tank.

Now to figure out how to get to it!!!

How do you print screen?

Hi John,

To print the screen what you see, Press the Print Scn Button on top row of your keyboard.

Open Paint Brush or Microsoft Word and mouse right click and click left click on Paste.

Click on File and Print button or CTRL + P key to open the print dialog box and click print.

It used to be much easier earlier when there were dot matrix printer which would directly print when Print screen button was pressed. But today you need to follow this work around to print the screen

Regards,
Ron

Desktop monitor screen shrinks to an hourglass shape

Hi,
I am assuming your monitor is a CRT, if that is the case then it is failing, and the cost to repair it could be close to the price of a new one.
You can check around, but my advice is to get a new one.
I hope this was helpful

Magix website maker 2.0 Can't select a layout because the bottom of the screen with the OK box is missing.

Can you shrink the screen with the buttons in the upper right hand corner? If not, hold down the left button of your mouse near the top of the page and pull or push the screen upwards until you can see the OK box.Or try to downsize the screen to your task bar, then right click your desktop screen. In the box select "properties",then pick "settings",in color quality click the pull down arrow and select highest(bit).Your screen will adjust, open the window you just downsized and grab the sides individually and size the screen to your liking by moving top or bottom in or out.If you were already on the Highest setting you can still shrink the screen with the screen resolution by moving the pointer one line to the right.Click apply and OK,the screen will adjust.Bring up your page and move the bottom up to where you can get to the buttons. Then you can go back to the desktop settings and readjust to what you like for settings. After you restart Windows will remember your settings so that you can open pages to the same size and location you set.Settings are only saved if you select Shut down or Turn off and let windows close itself. Please re post if I didn't answer your question to your satisfaction and we'll try something else?
