Tv will not stay on just tv

DOES SCREEN WORK VIDEO OK,. ?
DOES SOUND WORK AT ALL EVEN IF WEAK.? OR TOO LOUD.
VOLUME ON THE REMOTE CLICKER FAILS.
PUT ONLY FRESH BATTERIES IN THE REMOte. fresh !
THIS TV IS CHEAP BRAND./
is it new TV if yes take it back for warranty, or exchange.
amazon reviews are HORRID, for this maker, why pick them
and not LG or Samsung brands vastly better quality

Possibly faulty infrared receiver on tv

It might seem silly, but often this is due to a physically sticking button, often dirt in the remote. You can try using a spray switch cleaner. If that fails try buying a replacement remote. They are usually cheap and available online

Some remotes might fail to make changes properly or cause incorrect operation if a button "jams" in a pressed position, and doesn't release; or the filaments inside the remote become dirty or damaged (sometimes from spills). Ideally check with a different identical remote with the batteries removed on your original so it can't interact with the TV. Also check if your TV has control buttons at the TV to test the tv and hdmi change settings. (Do those checks with batteries removed from remote). If changes at the TV controls work properly most likely the problem is with the remote control.

Start taking your laptop apart piece by piece and test it after each removed component:
1. Remove the hard drive and test the laptop.
2. Remove the DVD drive and test the laptop.
3. Remove the wireless card and test the laptop.
4. Unplug the display panel from the motherboard/video card and test the laptop.
etc....
Continue taking it apart until you have only three major components connected: motherboard (with video card), processor, and memory. If you still experience the same problem, most likely it's bad motherboard.
By the way, before you start, try reconnecting the memory module. If you have two modules installed, try removing them one by one and test the laptop with each one separately.

Press any channel button on tv remote to switch its input source as TV to watch tv channels.
As you said, screen shows Video-1 display that means tv is set on input-1 that need to be changed, press channel button on remote or tv front to shift it on tv channels mode.

It sounds like a switch problem inside the TV if you have already tried removing the remote batts. Try replacing the switches behind the push buttons on the front of the TV. Also, if glass cleaner or some other foreign substance has run down the front of the screen and into the set, this can cause switches to short out and cause this problem. I have been seeing a lot of Toshiba remote "eyes" (the infra-red receiver inside the TV) fail recently. If several known good remotes cannot control the TV then the IR receiver will have to be replaced. If you have no experience soldering and unsoldering PC boards then have a qualified tech handle it for you.
