No connection I only have a laptop and was told this product was what I needed. There are instructions for desktop to laptop only. Can someone please tell me if this product is suitable or have I been misinformed by sales staff?

No you have not been misinformed. Bcoz the belkin router you are using supports the wireless connections. you will have to check the configuration of the Belkin router....... call the Belkin Tech support for further assistance. This the no. for Belkin tech support 800-223-5546 Option 1

Please specigy the Laptop make and model no. otherwise if windows operating system is there preinstalled then go to start>run and type "msinfo32" you can see all the component detail. you can see with dxdiag command also. and if there linux is there with that laptop then #cd /proc #cat meminfo #cat cpuinfo this two file can show you memory and cpu installed on your laptop. if you are confuse with the things, specify my the laptop model and make thanks arun

    it seems this is the wireless network module of belkin, ignore my earlier solution, The card is okay and whatever S/N you 've mentioned it is wireless access point device of belking which has go such feature

    Wireless Access Point ? Wireless Bridge ? DSL Modem ? Cable Modem ? VPN Pass-Thru ? Firewall ? DHCP Server

    included PC card

    show same is there then you've not misinformed

Wondering what I need to print wirelessly from laptop with this printer
If you printer hasn't a built-in wireless connection and if you haven't a wireless router then -
You need a wireless router plus print server. Connect this print server to the wireless router with a LAN cable. Then the printer is then connected to the print server's printer port.
The laptop's wireless card is then configured with the router's wireless settings.
The laptop is then installed with the printer driver and the printer port needs to be changed/configured with the print server's IP address.
ALTERNATELY
If the printer is connected to a desktop computer on your home LAN and it is also connected to your wireless router. Then you can set this printer as A Shared Printer on your desktop computer, but this desktop computer and the printer has to be powered up for the laptop to print to the printer.

Printer says no scan option available and that i need to install software for this. is there software available online for this? Im also using a HP pavillion. Someone told me that there may be a problem...
no problem using an Hp printer with an Hp desktop.

Here is a link to Hp's website, just select your Operating System on that page and it should take you to the download page. Once there select the FULL FEATURE SOFTWARE AND DRIVER option. Then just install that when its finished downloading and follow the on screen instructions as to when to plug the printer in and all that.

Sorry John, Windows Vista Home doesn't allow network printing. You need to connect physically the printer to the computer OR replace Windows Vista.

make sure your wire is connected to the main power, cuz it could be loose, my laptop goes dim if its not connected to the main power, but im not sure about very very dark

I have a new hp laptop G60-114EA. When requested to type in the PRODUCT KEY which I have read from a label on the bottom, I am told it is incorrect. The product key no. I have is...
John, if you have not already checked, please check that "caps lock" is in the appropriete setting..the key IS case sensitive.
If this is an upgraded system it may not be the correct key on the computer sticker. or if someone has upgraded this computer with an unlicenced (cracked) copy the product key may or may not work.
Contact Microsoft and have another product key issued in the event that you cannot determine your current product key. This is also something you may need to do when you upgrade Windows XP from one version to another. For example, you may need another product key issued when upgrading from Home Edition to Media Player Edition.
