I have a sandisk 2.0 gb and have tried to download music into the player. I have ripped music, created a playlist and it says that the music has synchronized and its completed. When I go into settings it says I have 205 songs, memory 1893 mb and free 1343 mb. but I can't hear any music at all and in the music mode it says no songs, artist-empty etc. Can anyone tell me what to do to correct this problem. Tks Ellie

Try to press the menu button until it turns off and then try to update your firmware to the latest one.If you can go to settings try to go to MSC and format your device using My Computer(it might be that the songs your transferring are not of good quality). If you cannot change to msc do this steps that work for a friend of mine, Slide the hold switch so it will be showing the red color (dunno if its red or orange) then press the record button then the power button until you see on the screen welcome to recovery mode. Go to the sandisk website and download and install it to your computer, when it has been installed and it is saying connect a device hooked your player to the computer and see if there are any updates available for the device.

How do a remove a song or songs from a Sansa SanDisk mp3 player model m240?

Hi chill642

Deleting Files,Pictures,Videos,Audio Books, Apps,etc. from MP3 Player/Ipod
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
BIG WARNING: DO NOT DELETE THE FILES NEEDED TO OPERATE YOUR MP3 PLAYER.
Hook up your mp3 player to your computer
Go to your desktop and double left click on "My Computer"
When it opens you will see listing that says "Devices with Removal Storage" your mp3 player should be listed there.
Right click on your mp3 player, and a window will open, right click on "Open" and now your files/songs should be visible.
Hold the left click down and drag it across all the files/songs that you do not want this will highlight the files/songs you do not want, release, right click and then click on "Delete"
Now you mp3 player should be clear of the files/songs you do not want.
ONE MORE BIG WARNING: BE CAREFUL AND DO NOT DELETE THE FILES NEEDED TO OPERATE YOUR MP3 PLAYER.

Sandisk 240m mp3 not playing

the radio and mp3 uses one audio amplifier, check if you have loaded your music with mp3 songs, if not load with mp3 songs. if songs used to play and just stopped playing, then follow these steps,

i does your display show song playing, if it does then your set is fault, and if it doent and display unsuppoted, load with mp3 songs.

ii if it was playing and just stopped, than take it to a tech, who can open it and check the change-over switch, or selector of that set.

iii the problem is to very big.

Mp3 in as "unknown". Won't play

download Switch by searching for it on google...then you can change the formats of your songs to anything you like and you can change how big the file gets converted to!!!

you can make them pretty small and then you can fit about 2,000 songs on a 2 GB!

hope this helps!

don't worry Switch does not give you spyware1.gif or viruses1.gif.. I checked! :]

this will "clean up" the files you want to put on your sansa...

it really works!! AND ITS FREEEEEE

Mp3 format??? HELP, PLEASE!

I don't know about converting the MP3s to WMAs, but I had the same problem with "corrupt files."
What fixed that for me was instead of dragging and dropping files onto the Sansa, I synchronized them using Windows Media player, but only do 10-20 songs at a time, because if you try to do too many, they probably won't show up. I know it's tedious and annoying, but that's what did it for mine :) I hope this helps.

Mp3 player wont play songs or anything

Only 2 suggestions here: 1) Make sure your HOLD switch is not enabled. 2) Try to update the firmware If neither of these work, time to send the unit back to Sandisk
