Its got something to do with your laser reading lens stuck in the wrong position. try and fiddle it to move to the left near the spindle as its probably stuck on the right (as it was in my own DVD). If it doesnt move, remove the screws at the back (aboiut 10 in number), you'l see the gear system controlling the laser reader, just adjust the position to be near the central rotating spindle. That should fix the problem. Cheers!!!

"wrong region"

Try downloading a program called DVD Shrink. It may be able to transfer the DVD to your computer so you can make a copy of it.

Iv just fitted a kenwood kvt 815 to my car im trying to play a dvd and its saying region code error

Countries around the world have their own REGIONS. If your DVD unit is for the American market then it will only read and play discs that are REGION 1 or REGION FREE. Anything else it will not. REGION 1 : United States, U.S. territories REGION 2 : Europe, Middle East, Egypt, Japan, South Africa, Swaziland, Lesotho, Greenland REGION 3 : Southeast Asia, REGION 4 : Mexico, Central America, South America, Australia, New Zealand, Oceania REGION 5 : India, Afghanistan, Ukraine, Belarus, Russia REGION 6 : People's Republic of China, Hong Kong
I believe you get the idea.

American Blu ray dic not playing in my malaysian sony bdp -s370

BD media does have region codes. But, unlike current DVD players, the region codes for BD media use letters instead of numbers to indicate a particular zone or region where the discs can be played.

The BD region codes are as follows:

  • Region A: North America, South America, U.S. Territories, Japan, South Korea, Taiwan, and other areas of Southeast Asia
  • Region B: Europe, Africa, Middle East, Australia, and New Zealand.
  • Region C: Asia (except for Japan, Korea, Taiwan, and other areas of Southeast Asia)

Unlock sony DVP-FX720

The problem may be you are trying to play DVDs from a specific region (Europe) and the player is set for another region. Region code errors will show up as "no Play" or 'region" Check the manual to see how to set the player to Region 0. A region machine will play any DVD. Sometimes the setting is on the menu - usually in the set-up screen under "region." I have re-set all my Phillips players to become Region Free through the menu.
