Carnt turn on my wireless lan

It appears that there isn't an external switch to turn the WLAN off on the Everex NC1500 laptop (click here for the full manual). Here is a link showing you how to disable and enable WLAN card in WinXP (click here) if this is what you are trying to accomplish.
According to the manual (if your wireless isn't working) you must first install the WLAN driver before using the wireless connection. Info: "Wireless LAN module is similar to LAN module. You need to install software driver before using it. Please refer to Appendix B on how to install the driver." Appendix B INSTALLING THE WIRELESS LANDEVICE DRIVER Please follow the procedures below for installing the Mini PCI Adapter driver: Installing Wireless LAN driver for Windows XP 1. Click the Start button and then click Run. The Run dialog box appears. 2. Click Browse button and specify the directory as "E:\Drivers\Winxp\Wireless LAN\setup.exe" 3. Click "OK" to implement the setup program to install this driver. 4. Click "Next" twice to continue the installation.

I understand that you are not able to setup the Wireless Network Connection in your Computer.
To fix this issue, please make sure that the Physical Wireless Switch on the Computer is turned ON and then try connecting the Computer to the Wirelss Network.

You can locate the Physical Wireless Switch on the front side of the Computer. Please move the switch toward right side to turn it ON.

Once the Physical Wireless Switch is turned ON, please try setting up the Wireless Network Connection.

If you are not able to to connect to Wireless Network Connection after switching on the Physical Wireless LAN Switch, try using the Wireless Switch Setting Utility.

To enable the Wireless Network Connection using the Wireless Device Switch Utility, please double-click the Wireless Device Switch icon on the right corner of the Taskbar. Then in the open Wireless Device Switch window, please click to check the box next to Enable 2.4Ghz Wireless LAN.

This should fix the issue.

They issue is due to the corrupted SmartWi Connection Utility Software in the Computer.

You will need to re-install the Wireless LAN Driver, Updates, and the SmartWi Connection Utilities in the Computer to fix the issue with the Wireless.

1. Please download and save each file on the Desktop.
2. After that double click on the Original Wireless LAN Driver to begin the installation.
3. Please follow the onscreen instructions to complete the installation.
4. After that, restart the Computer for the settings to take the effect.
5. After restarting the Computer, please install the Updates.
6. Make sure that you restart the Computer after each installation.
7. Then, please re-install the "SmartWi Connection Utility in the Computer.

You can download the SmartWi Connection Utility from here.

1. Download and install the SmartWi Connection Utility in the Computer.
2. after the installation, please turn ON the Wireless Adapter using the SmartWi Connection Utility.
3. Please click "Start", "All Programs" and SmartWi Connection Utility to open the Program and turn ON the Wireless Adapter.
4. After that, please re-configure the Wireless Network connection in the Computer.
5. This should fix the issue with the Wireless Network connection.

first check for whether the wireless switch on laptop is turned on or not u have to keep it turned on .further install the drivers for wireless lan

you need to type 192.168.0.1 into address bar on internet explorer if this does not bring up a password prompt then you need to set your ip addresses on both computers this is done by clicking start - my network places - on left view network connections - right click on wireless for wireless and on normal lan for lan - click properties scroll down to tcp ip sttings - right click - click properties - click use the following ip address - type 192.168.0.2  - click sub mask it will auto fill then default gateway needs to be 192.168.0.1  - then click use the following dns server and type 192.168.0.1 click ok and your done for every computer you add to the network you have to change the last digit of the ip address such as 2 then 3 then 4. go back to internet explorer type 192.168.0.1 you will get the password prompt the user-name is admin and password is password
