417.4405200 not spinning at the end of wash cycles
I?m stuck, and desperately need help.
The washer completes wash cycles, but never spins.
After performing the diagnostic test from the washer tech data sheet, I get error code E43 (Control Board problem) the washer does spin in the diagnostic test. I ordered a new control board, replaced it, same result. I then ordered the speed control board, same result. I have performed a continuity check on every wire in the washer, both vacuum tubes are clear;and the pressure switch closes and opens when i apply pressure and release the pressure (the water level is correct) the pump is clear and pumps the water out. However One of the Shock Absorber, air, stabilizers is broken (on back order until the end of the month) should be here the 31st. Any ideas ????
Thanks in advance

No, the washer was not loaded when I preformed the diagnostic. however I have been washing cloths and then using the last step of the diagnostic test to spin the cloths out. de_fenderNo, the washer was not loaded when I preformed the diagnostic. however I have been washing cloths and then using the last step of the diagnostic test to spin the cloths out.

My Brother had the same problem, and was fixed by replacing the door switch which contains 3 types of switches and something called the wax motor with a nominal resistance of 1500 ohms. Replace the switch for $38.00, and while at it replace the plastic knive on the door that pushes the switch in. The diagnostic manual is located behind the back cover near the motor inside the machine. You have to remove the screws and take the metal cover off the back to get to the manual. Tech has changed door switch and 3 motor control boards and one main control board and after 4 months thought I had problem fixed only to have it come back again. Started on one cycle of heavy clothes and progreesed to not spin clothes on any cycle at the end of the wash only. Washes and rinses in all cycles but does not spin in any cycle and clothes end up wet. Appears to drain but clothes are wetbecause of not spinning.Tech has changed door switch and 3 motor control boards and one main control board and after 4 months thought I had problem fixed only to have it come back again. A top-load washer tub is usually supported by four suspension rods. If one of the suspension rods becomes dislodged or breaks, the control board may stop the spin cycle several times to try to balance the clothes. Suspension rods will often come in a set of four and it is recommended to replace all four of the rods at the same time to reduce uneven wear.
Possible there is problem with the timer controller unit. It seems that the stepper motor is not moving to the next cycle until you manually move it to the spin. You can use some contact cleaners on the switch and also carefully try to see if the timer moves within , replacement is a costly issue and must be debated
Hello skull1829 , Was the Clutch/One-way roller bearing changed out for dc/UC errors in your FAV6800AW/FAV9800AW? If you start a Spin Only Cycle with an empty wash basket will the wash basket spin up CCW and complete the cycle?Lift the washer top from the base a few inches to observe the wash basket CCW rotation in spin cycle. If the clutch spring is broken or end pins of spring aren't seated the tumblers will rotate and the wash basket will rotate slowly CCW. IF the wash basket won't spin up can you pull the front cover off and insure the motor will rotate the clutch pulley CCW in a Spin Only Cycle?Let’s try these few basic tests and get some feedback for troubleshooting. Rich
The most common cause of machines stopping mid cycle is not draining. Your machine should have a filter behind the kick plate at the bottom.
If this is not the case please post back for further assistance.
