System will not start up.

We have a three pipe fujitsu heat pump system running 7 indoor units. 6 ceiling cassettes and 1 wall mount. All ceiling units seem to operate ok however the wall mount is flashing the power led constantly (red) and the green and yellow flash three times together then stop then three more times and so on. The outdoor unit does not come on.(A090MPBMF). We have power to the outdoor unit. We have tried a restart,by shutting down the whole system then starting the outdoor unit and then the indoor units with the same results. We have checked for phase reversal. The machine is less than a year old and was not installed by ourselves. The indoor units are all remote controled. Firstly can you tell us what the fault code is flashing and secondly any suggestions as to the cause and how to rectify. Many thanks.

This is a signal fault between the indoor and outdoor first make sure the dip switches are set start with the unit closest to the condensor set as unit 1 then next unit as 2 and so on the dip switches are inside the indoor unit on the pc board if you check the manual it will tell you which swithes to set, if this wasnt done when the units where installed they would have never worked i would also check the signal wiring between the wallmount and the splitter box / bc box and make sure there isnt a loose connection when you have ruled this out id say more than likely it is a faulty indoor board on the wallmounted unt

3 split units run from one compressor one is not cooling

If there is 3 indoor units from one condensing unit
(6 pipes at outdoor unit) this is classed as a multi unit

All units will run correctly as long as they all require same mode, cooling or heating, if one unit decides to heat it will shut down until master unit decides to heat then it will start, for each unit to individually heat and cool there would have to be 3 pipes to each indoor,

When I turn the heat on my wall unit the air door closes and the cooling light flashes 7 times. Will cool but will not heat.

Pls check indoor to out door 6 wirings. May be interchanged by mistake.

Example- Black wire in N with indoor but connected in C with out door.

And also check whether the sensor wire from indoor to out door has connected.

Tnx

What could be causing one of the wall mount units to ice up on a 3 port mini split hp?

Icing is caused by one of two things.
1. The air coming in is too much and has a lot of water vapor in it.
2. The evaporator is too cold. This could be because of a low refrigerant charge

Fujitsu indoor unit capacity error

The reason you are getting this code is because all units must be hooked up electrically to the condensing unit. The copper doesn't have to be connected to each evap unit for one to run but they all need to be hooked up electrically to meet the minimum btu requirement for the condenser to run. Hope this helps

I am looking to buy a mini split ac/heating 1 ton unit. I want to know how high from the floor does the unit have to be to cool and heat a 10 x 20 room?

Hi, when you buy your split system, the indoor unit will mount on your wall off off the floor a distance that the factory has made it for. With an 8' to 10' ceiling, it would be about 7' off the floor. This all depends on the refrigeration plumbing coming from the outdoor condenser to the indoor unit. It will tell you all of this on the installation kit for this unit, as the plumbing for the freon pipes are already pre-made for a certain height. A 1 ton, (12,000 btu) unit will have no trouble cooling a room of this size, so check with the manufacture on the height it will be.

Will Not Heat

On the outdoor unit the fan should not be running, on the indoor unit the fan should be running. If you then check the outdoor unit with fan not running, you should be able to hear clearly that the compressor is actually working. If this is all correct, it is possible that your fourway reverse valve is seeping and needs to be replaced.
