BelkBF5X007in XM radio boom box

Unit not working, antannae signal on roady xt shows recieving signal.....pulled roady out of the dock, and replaced it again with no luck. Is there a way to pull the unit apart and check the connection between the plug in dock and the radio itself? Is there a repair shop in the Portland, Oregon area that will service this unit? Tried cleaning.....I think it may need to be opened up and looked at. Maybe the dock connector in the boom box is bad. Any way to open it up and get a replacement part? When I wiggle the xm roady it will make a noise from the boom box....no music or signal, more like a humming sound with a click or two.....kind of like a short or something.

DO not use the Boombox with the Roady XT until you get an aftermarket adapter from Belkin. The Boombox was manufactured with a defect in the connector....and it will ruin your Roady XT. Call Belkin or Delphi for more info.

    Belkin 1*800-2Belkin
    Delphi 1*877*463-3574

Be very careful or you will soon be shopping for a new Roady XT!!

My Belkin has done same thing, want to open it to see if something in the connector is damaged or come loose. Can't find any postings. Disappointed, a $100 unit stopped working after 4 months of use.

I had the same problem with an Onyx and this boombox. The Onyx doesn't need an adaptor, unlike the Roady. Anyway it stopped playing sound so I have to buy another one or see if I have a home stereo dock.

I continually loose my reception on my xm roady xt, i wiggle it around and then it works again, and so on. do i have a bad base unit and do they wear out over time. [email protected]

You need to resolder your antenna port on the dock connector. It's a really easy repair, all you need is a fine tip soldering iron. The antenna jack is on the right of the dock connector, it has 1 middle pin and 1 n-shaped pin that leads to 2 pads on the PCB. Your middle pin most likely has a cracked joint.

Roady XT works fine on Boom Box/Will not transmit to car antenna/will not show "set frequency" on menu,,

Cannot have anything plugged into the audio output/audio jack, or it shuts off the FM Frequency modulator.

Overheats and cuts off

check the antenna and see if its grounded out anywhere, like if its chaffed and grouned to the car somewhere. If not try turning on the unit outside of the car or using it in the home dock, if it does the same thing its a problem with your unit or car dock

Roady xt Antenna Problems

when it reads antenna it means there something wrong with either the connection or the antenna itself, it could be the location of the antenna or the antenna is going bad. if there is no obstructions on the car blocking the antenna i would advise purchasing a new antenna. you can get one at http://shopdelphi.com/consumers/satradio/xpressrc/

Great signal, so sound

My XM Boombox is also white and it is a Belkin. The folks at Delphi told me the receiver in the boombox is screwed up which over time also screws up the Delphi receiver. Belkin is sending me a new boombox and Delphi is sending me a new Roady XT.

No FM Frequency option

I had the same problem with all three of my Roady XTs. I posted a video with directions for solving the problem on YouTube:

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=BGMWf0aUTjw

Basically, you just need to have the antenna unplugged when you power up, and push menu right away, then select. Not sure why, but it worked on all of my Roady XTs. On the oldest one I had to push menu more than once. Good luck!

Roady XT periodic errors

The pins get easily damaged when switching from the car dock to the Belkin boom box. I have to constintly squeeze very ******* the top of the xt in order for it to make contact. Belkin will send you a plastic alignment fixture but it is too late. It still does the same thing.

Delphi Roady XT Quit Working

Chances are it's not picking up the XM signal. First, contact XM to resend your setup. if that doesn't work check your antenna connections.
