remove the toner bottle and make around 50 copies but make the copies in A4 LEF but with open ADF and put a white paper on half of the A4 LEF area for to be the copes half white half black. This must be done for the extra toner that is inside the developer unit to be removed. It must be half black-half white for the machine can print the copies, otherwise it will constantly jams. pit the white paper in the right half section of A4 LEF area and make around 50 copies. But do this without toner bottle inside the machine. After the 50 copies end, print a counter and see does it got better. If is ok then return back the toner bottle and the machine will continue to work. If still the copy is bad then make more copies without toner bottle until the image is clear.
It could be leaking toner from the recovery area that sis on top of the dum, it removes any toner that was not transfered to the paper. You would have to remove it and empty out the toner.
USUALLY Black copies are a Drum grounding problem. I have not seen "black" copies due to old, bad, or otherwise inferior toner... Although, It is a Xerox, LOL
Sounds as if it is low on toner. When they run low, the motor will continue to run trying to add more toner. The toner add system is a glorified flour sifter.Eventually it will set the add toner on.Good Luck
Pull out your toner cartridge, push back the drum shutter and see if the drum is coated in toner. If so, it is defective. Replace it and it will be fine.
