Resetting name and number on fax

HI, I CANNOT FIND THE MANUAL FOR THE BROTHER FAX-570 SO AS I CAN CHANGE THE NAME AND NUMBER ON THE PRINT OUTS. HAVE CHANGED MY NAME AND RELOCATED SO HAVE A NEW NUMBER.. IF YOU COULD HELP OUT THAT WOULD BE GREAT. WAITING YOUR REPLY..CHEERS FROM KATIE IN SUNNY QUEENSLAND AUSTRALIA.

On the menu no 7 will lead to setting for the station ID press menu /set 1-2, enter the fax no press menu again follow on by entering thetelephone no continue bypressing the menu/set button again input your name following the letters on the pad and then press the spacebar 2x to save and then exit/stop.by doing this you have configure your fax station

Setting Station ID
You should store your name or (company name) and fax number to be printed
on all fax pages you send. The telephone number you enter will be printed only
on your cover pages and call back messages. (See Composing Electronic Cover
Page, Page 6-6.)
1 Press Menu, 1, 3.
2 Enter your fax number (up to 20
digits), and then press Set. You must
enter a fax number to proceed.
3 Enter your telephone number (up) to
20 digits), and then press Set.
If your telephone number and fax
number are the same, enter the same
number again. The number appears
on Cover pages.
4 Use the dial pad to enter your name
(up to 20 characters), and then press
Set.

5 Press Stop/Exit.
The LCD returns to the date and time.
If your Station ID has already been programmed, the LCD prompts “1” to make
a change, or “2” to exit without changing.

Cant change fax number of machine

GO INTO THE MENU AND YOU ARE LOOKING FOR FAX SET UP IN THERE YOU WILL FIND A SECTIOON TO SET D FAX HEADER AND NUMBER THE HEADER IS THE NAME THAT SHOWS WHO IS SENDING THE FAX IE ..VOLVO TULSA OR WHITE HOUSE!!! YOU ENTER THE FAX NUMBER BY THE DIAL PAD AND PRES IOK TO SAVE

HELLO! YOU CAN DOWNLOAD THE MANUAL FROM BROTHER.COM. THERE ALSO IS HELP MENU BUILT INTO THE MACHINE THAT WILL PRINT OUT. IT SHOULD BE IN REPORTS AND FOLLOW THE PROMPTS.

Resetting the phone number currently displayed on the top of the page

On your fax control panel, press the MENU button. Choose either INITIAL SET-UP or FAX SET-UP, from the display. You should be able to scroll through the settings until you come to either HEADER, TITLE, NAME, STATION ID., or PHONE NUMBER. You can then use the number and letter keys to change the title and phone number.

if you don't have one handy, the steps to set your fax machine's number is on page 42. The steps to take are:

Setting the Station ID
You should store your name or company name and fax number so
they print on all fax pages you send.
1 Press Menu/Set, 0, 3.
2 Enter your fax number
(up to 20 digits).
Press Menu/Set.
3 Use the dial pad to enter your name (up to 20 characters).
(See Entering Text on page B-11).
Press Menu/Set.
4 Press Stop/Exit.
You cannot enter a hyphen in the fax number. To enter a space
press once between numbers.
If the Station ID has already been programmed, the LCD will ask
you to press 1 to make a change or 2 to exit without changing.

Fax confirmations

i have read the manual end to end and I don't think you can.
Only thing I see is this.

Customizing your settings using the Lexmark Fax Solutions You can adjust the fax settings in the Lexmark Fax Solutions. These settings apply to the faxes you send or receive.

Click Start Programs Lexmark 7100 Series Lexmark Fax Solutions.
Click Adjust speed dial list and other fax settings.
Click each tab and change the settings as desired.
Press Save Settings after you finish your updates. Nothing is saved until you press this button.
Click Close.

The following table contains the Setup and Settings tabs for the Lexmark Fax Solutions.
On this tab
You can
Personalize

Enter your company name and fax number.

Enter your name, company name, phone number and address as you want them to appear your cover page.

Select a cover page for your fax.

Send

Choose to use error correction.

Choose to use fax header.

Select a maximum send speed and a print quality for outgoing faxes.

Choose whether to scan the entire document before dialing the number.

Select when to print a fax usage report.

Select when to print a fax activity report

Select when to print an activity report is the only close item I can find. Nothing whatsoever about a confirmation report.

Adding and deleting into and out of group phone list

Group setting where? In the driver? In the menu in the machine? In some piece of software?
Are you refering to the name and phone number people see when you fax them?

Please be more specific.

Changing the name and phone number for faxing operations is covered in the owners manual. If you can't find the manual, there should be a copy on Brother's Web Site at www.brother.com
