Don't know what wires your using to connect to tv. It does matter, sometimes the connections go bad, either at the tv or cable box. Have you tryed to stretch picture in settings?
high voltage is not coming up. possible fuse locates on power supply board on the right if you are sitting behind set with back off. if fuses are good, possible horizontal output transistor shorted. sounds horrible but easy repair
bad capacitors on the hyper module. there are 11 surface mount capacitors that need to be replace and that should fix it. the caps themselves only cost around $14 for all of them together
It sounds like the 200v supply to the crt's is missing. this is the source for driving the tubes, other than the high voltage generated by the flyback transformer. If the set got really bright gray with wome white lines that are kinda on a diagonal, this is generally the cause. the source for this voltage is a diode on the secondary of the flyback transformer.
the jittering will get worse with on time
this tv needs a hyper module and some are still available
for replacement
id get a new hyper module or have it rebuilt
needs caps in the module
forget about doing this repair yourself
just like the guy on csi miami
"they never listen"
Cable is straight to tv. Only things connected to tv are cable and x-box.
