Telex WT55 wireless lapel mic & FRM70 Receiver

With a NEW 9 Volt battery installed and tried another type - Rayovac and an Duracell - the mic works for about 10 to 15 minutes then it just stops transmitting. You can see the green LED on the mixer board and the receiver lights up like normal but - the voice stops. Like someone is turning the volume down - then it rises to normal and drops down to the point that it finally stops transmitting the voice.

SHURE BLX4R BATTERY LIGHT OFF AND WONT SYNC - HELP!

Hi,

please attempt to factory reset your microphone. Also, some companies only allow certain accessories like a battery to be provided by them or special partner companies. So, please verify with your manufacturer that duracell batteries are allowed to be used within their products.

Thank you.

Why won't wireless mic turn on the "Ready" light on receiver?

Make certain the mic and the receiver are in the same exact frequency band. There are stickers on both products that list the frequency band.

Why won't wireless mic turn on the "Ready" light on receiver?

The handheld is in a different frequency band than the receiver. There are stickers on both that saw what frequency range they can tune to.

The microphone will not transmit. I tested the receiver with a body pak and it works fine. so the issue is in the mic. This was given to our small church and we really need to get it working.

A wireless mic uses batteries for power. Check the battery terminals and clean them (pencil eraser), also make sure that a new (check voltage with volt meter) battery is installed. Finger grease is one culprit which cannot be seen on the terminals. Batteries also leak and leave traces of "stuff" on the terminals. Any drop in voltage (because of dirt) will make that device stop working.

If it uses a 9 volt battery, check both wires going from the 9 volt connector - one might be broke (not connected). Checking if either of the wires is "loose" (broke) is easy.

Hope this helps.

Telex ht200 is fatter microphone and I am looking for a microphone clip to mount it on a microphone stand. Universal clips are too skinny - they will not fit around the mic. Does anyone know where I cn get...

Here you go. I would use something like this. This has a 1.75" (44mm) diameter. http://www.bhphotovideo.com/c/product/298898-REG/WindTech_MC_4_MC4_Extra_Large_Heavy_Duty_Microphone.html
You can also go here http://www.crossroadsaudio.com/Rentals%20Catalog.pdf scroll down to page 5 and you can use this - $15.00 Telex ELM-22S Black Lapel Mic, Shure TA4F w/ Mic Clip -- That clip is the same diameter as your mic and is made by Telex.

I can't seem to get the correct batteries for my Texas Instruments TI-84 Plus Calculator...can any AAA 1.5v battery use in it? I tried some duracell of that same type and they didn't work

All the AAA batteries whether non-rechargeable alkaline (Duracell, Energizer, Rayovac, Varta, Maxell, Panasonic, Sony, Sanyo, etc) will do. Each of these types of batteries has a voltage of 1.5V
You can also use rechargeable NiCd (Nickel-Cadmium) or NiMH (Nickel-Metal Hydride) 1.2V AAA. However TI Instruments say that under no circumstances should one use rechargeable batteries.

The trivial possible reasons why the the Duracell did not work are:
  1. The lot was depleted.--Replace with fresh ones
  2. The electrical terminals may be broken or dirty or corroded by a previous acid leak.---Clean the terminal even if they appear shiny. The eraser tip of a pencil should be good to rub away any dirt.
  3. You did not place them correctly: Wrong polarity. This is a very common mistake (I know from my own experience).

I need to purchase a lavaliere type mic for my passport 150 and I am not sure what I need, It comes with a hand held ireless mic but I want to use a lapel type.

Wireless systems can be purchased as either lapel or handheld systems. Talk to the dealer that you are purchasing the wireless from and let them know you want a handheld system.

Wireless lapel mic uses batteries at the rate of one per day. Even if the unit is off, the battery still goes dead..

As long as the battery is in the microphone, the microphone is on and transmitting. Even if your receiver is off. Remove the microphone battery when not in use. Life expectancy of an Alkaline battery is about 4 to 8 hours stage time. Only 1 to 2 hours for heavy duty batteries.

Telex prostar wireless mic.  leads came off of mic element.  One green wire and one black.  Which one connects to center of element and which connects to rim.

Hi..
The rim is "ground" or the (-) side of the mic.
Find out which wire goes to ground or a (-) on a battery.
Solder that one back to the rim
