does it give an error code? usually it just a gear timing problem, will it load discs that are in it?
SOURCE: rejecting cd's
Press the Q/I/ATT and the "sel" button at the same time with the unit off for more than 2 seconds. This will reset the entire unit (you'll have to re-program the memory stations for FM & AM). The disc should eject automatically.
Hope that helps!
SOURCE: 2002 JEEP [Wrangler] CD player will not play Nero burnt CD's
I had the same problem in my 1998 Jeep GC Limited. It has been a year and a half since I have played a burnt cd in my cd player. I researched everything possible and came to the conclusion that it was either the type of cd I was using (some cds with prints etc are hard for the laser inside the player to read) or the burning speed, and after many failed attempts, I still couldn't find a combination that would work. Then yesterday, my brother had a burnt cd he had made with his computer and we tried it just to see if it might work and it did! So, the brand of cd is Memorex, the type is CD-R, and they are 80min. worth of recording time. I purchased some of these cds at Hastings (although I'm sure they are avaliable wherever you purchase blank cds) and tried burning one in my laptop just to make sure it was going to work and it did! I burned the cd using windows media player and before I started the burn I went into 'burn options' and set the burning speed to the lowest possible. Hope this helps!

Hey Adricat, did you get a solution to this problem? I have had this happen twice now, and each time it was replaced by the shop i bought it from.
