Brand new samsung notebook rv515 wont start up. start up repair keeps coming up

Hopefully if you have all your files backed up, perform a System Recovery with your operating system, or better yet, You may restart your laptop and tapping F8 at the same time, perform a system recovery thru the Safe Mode.It may be a corrupted software with the "boot.vis"
file.??This is the best i can do without seeing your laptop.

Do you have an icon like this on the right under? Then click on it, and klik on the icon. Set the volumebar up.
If this is ok, you can try a headphone. If the headphone works, then your soundcard is ok. It may be the internal switch. If you have still no sound, you can check if the driver is still ok. Otherwise your soundcard may be broken.

You need to check your laptop`s power supply first and you can do this using voltmeter to ensure that output voltage is matching prescribed output otherwise you may need to use a new charger.

When you first turn the computer on hit the F8 key repeatedly. This will give you loading options for windows. Click to load windows into safe mode with internet. See if that works. If it works in safe mode it may be a conflict between programs. Did you install any new software right before the problem?

Check your power brick.
Also, did you replace the power jack or just clean it?

Oh dear sounds like hard drive failure. When the computer cannot find instructions to load am operating system it asks for them. I think your computer hard disk is given up the ghost which I'd where it would normally load the boot information. The boot information is the operating system like Windows. There are ways to check the hard disk I do hope you had back ups though.

This is caused by the 'Chipmunk' virus.

Suggest you reinstall the Audio (Sound) drivers.
DO NOT suggest you use Device Manager, and save yourself the trouble.
Suggest you download from Samsung Support, AND install; instead.

[Driver: Small piece of software that allows the Operating System to communicate with a device.
The audio chipset is the device, I do not know what the O/S is ]

Problem is I do Not know what O/S you are using.
Operating System.
I assume it to be a version of Windows, though.

There are 3 Audio drivers listed.
All 3 are in blue, and start with -
Sound (Audio) (Driver)

One is for Windows XP.

Two are for Windows 7, and either 32-bit, or 64-bit.
They are BOTH the same Version (ver.6.0.1.6400), so I think this is a Samsung mistake. Double-listing of the same audio driver file.

To the far right on each file, you will see ZIP in white letters, and in a blue rectangular 'box'.
This means it is a Zip file.

A Zip file is used to send large amounts of information more easily.
It is a Compressed file, and needs to be uncompressed after receiving, or can be said as 'unzipped'.

Using the audio driver file for Windows XP for an example;

After you click on the blue rectangle with ZIP in it, a small window pops up -
Global Download Center

Click on the blue rectangle with SEND in it.
Takes a few seconds then a small window will pop up on the right -
(Took about 15 seconds)
Opening Sound_WXP_5.10.0.6318.ZIP

Make SURE there is a Green dot in the small circle, to the left of -
Save File.
If not; click in the empty circle to the left of Save File.
Now go below in the window, and click on OK.

A small download window will come up on the left.
Allow the file to fully download, then DOUBLE-click right on the file name.

To the left of the next window click on - Extract all files.
At the bottom of the next 3 small windows, click on Next, Next, and Finish.

If not instructed to restart your computer, do so.

[Windows XP:
Click on Start > Turn Off Computer > Restart.
Windows Vista / Windows 7:
Click on the Windows logo button (Start), then on Restart ]

1st You download Webcam Driver.
Samsung laptops rv515 driver
After this install the Webcam driver in the system.
Installation of Webcam Driver
Go to the control panel
Click on the System Icon
Click on the Hardware Tab
Click on the Device Manager s
Select the Unknown Device or printer device where yellow Question Marks sign on it.
Right click on it and uninstall it.
After this go to the top of the device manager and click on scan for hardware changes.
Driver installation Wizard start.
Brows Your Driver from the Hard Disk and click on next.
Driver will be install.
